if there was anything i would rather be doing right now, it's not this. walking home from my exes house after breaking up with him.
as i walk i pay more attention to the box on matches and cigarettes in my hand than to what's going on around me and suddenly i bump into someone-
"hey! watch out dickhead!" i yelled at the guy.
"sorry, jeez who shit on your toast?" he said.
i looked up and i saw the most beautiful man i've ever seen, quinn hughes.
he is a regular at the cafe i work at and he plays hockey for our university's team. i've never been to a game but people say he's good.
"oh shit, sorry. didn't mean to snap haha, just had a bad day y'know!" i said and he laughed awkwardly.
"guess that makes two of us i guess. hey, wanna get some lunch or something? it's about to strike noon and by the time we're anywhere most places are opened." he asked smiling.
"yeah uh sure, let's go!" i said before we walked off to a local restaurant.
