I woke up around six to see I had three texts. One from Sam, Austin and Miles.
“Are you awake?” Sam sent.
“Hey are you up yet?” Austin sent.
“Hey Jess” Miles sent.
I ignored all three of them for the moment as I walked to the bath room. I took a quick shower then threw on my black skinny jeans and a blue v-neck. ‘Jess lets go’ Jason yelled from down stairs. I hurry up and slip my phone into my back pocket and grab my charger and bags. ‘I'm coming relax’ I say while he holds the door open. He rolls his eyes as he pushes me out the door. ‘Hey Jess’ Sam says from the car. I throw my stuff in the truck and wave to Lin her older sister. I slip into the back by Sam as Jason starts the engine. ‘All ready?’ he asks as Sam and I eye each other. ‘Yup’ we say in unison. We smile at each other as he pulls out the drive way. I pull back out my phone to text Austin and Miles back.
“Hey Austin on our way to the air port”
I sent as Sam read over my shoulder. ‘That’s rude you know’ I say as her cheeks go pink. ‘Sorry’ she says nervously. I eye her questionably but decide not to ask.
“Hey Miles, what's up?”
I send him just as I receive a message from Austin.
“Hey Jess we just got here. Ill be looking for you though”
He said as I smiled to my self. ‘Aha Jess look at your self’ Sam said as my hands shoot up to my cheeks. I felt the warmth under my fingers. ‘You’re blushing’ she said while laughing. ‘Shut up it’s not a big deal” I said a bit embarrassed.
“Hey question”
Miles sent me just as we pulled into the parking lot.
“What's up?” I send back.
I love how we all talk to each other as if we have been friends for years.
“Is Sam single, because I'm really into her?”
He asks me as my mouth drops.
“Yeah she’s free” I send back.
We all get out of the car grabbing our bags. Jason grabbed Lin’s hand as we approach the front doors. ‘Hurry take off is soon’ Jason said as we nearly ran to the boarding doors. We stepped on the plane one behind another. Sam and I looked around for familiar faces. ‘Over here Jess’ Austin yells with Miles besides him. ‘So that’s Austin’ my brother whispers in my ear as Lin takes her seat. I roll my eyes at him as I walked over to the boys.
‘Um you’re in my seat’ I said while crossing my arms. ‘Na just sit on Austin's lap’ Miles said while laughing. ‘Whatever ill just sit with Sam then’ I said with a sly grin. ‘Sorry dude, but you got to move’ Austin said. Miles mouth dropped a bit but he got up and walked over to Sam.
‘Finally grandpa’ I say while laughing. He gave me an evil grin but didn’t say a word. ‘I like the window’ I said still standing, Austin smiled up at me. He stood up and gave me his seat by the window. ‘Thanks’ I say while taking a seat. ‘Any thing for you’ he says with a gleam in his eyes. ‘So what were you doing in the USA?’ I ask as he avoids my eyes.
‘My dad lives there he married Miles mom a few years ago and moved away’ he says as his eyes turn sad. ‘Oh I'm sorry. My parents passed away not to long ago now it’s just me and my brother Jason’ I admit, as tears threaten to spill over. ‘Oh Jess I'm so sorry’ he said while grabbing my hand. ‘Don’t be’ I said giving him a reassuring smile. ‘Jess’ I herd some one say, ‘Sam’ I say looking up to see her.
