Giving, a flower by a redolent mare, petals ablaze for me to wear
A knowing dandelion, picked, I in mind
Kindle secure, pinned-hind sombre hair
Giving, a flower by a redolent mare, petals ablaze for me to wear
Seeds to be blown, burdens lighter to bear
She plucked at will for me in kind
Giving, a flower by a redolent mare, petals ablaze for me to wear
A knowing dandelion, picked, I in mind.

This is the first intentional rhyming scheme poem I have tried. A Triolet is a poetic form with the rhyming scheme ABaAabAB. This form has 8 lines. The first, fourth and the seventh line has to be repeated. The second and eighth also has to be repeated. Capital and lower case letter a's should rhyme. As well as b's. The capital letters represent the repeated lines.

If you are brave, you can also make the Triolet a little more difficult, by making each line eight syllables only.  This is know as iambic tetrameter (I think) each line consisting of four metrical feet. I was not so brave!
