Baby

The asual, ordinary day I will face again. Waking up early in the morning is not new to me, anymore. Bago ako papasok sa paaralan, palagi kong ginagawa ang pag bibisikleta--- nag-iikot ng dalawang beses dito sa aming village. 

Gasping for breath I stopped biking while looking at the village gate. I looked at my digital watch and it was exactly five-thirty in the morning. I decided to get out of the village and continue biking on the backside of SM Uptown.

Malapit lang sa amin ang mall ng SM kaya madali lang akong nakarating. Pagdating ko mismo sa likuran ng mall, unang sumalubong sa akin ang malamig na hangin. Pinagpatuloy ko ang pagbibisikleta hanggang sa napagod.

 Napagdesisyunan ko ng umuwi ngunit bago ko ito ginawa, dumaan muna ako sa isang stall para umupo ng sandali. Akmang aalis na sana ko, nakita ko sa gilid ng aking mata na marami ding nagbibisikleta sa lugar kung saan ako nagbibisikleta kanina. Hindi ko na ito pinansin at umalis na ng tuluyan.

Two students approached me as I stepped out of the car. I believe they are still in high school. They both smiled at me almost simultaneously, so I returned their smile.

"Hi, Ate Leahn!" Pagbati ng isang batang babae habang kumakaway sa akin. 

"Ate Leahn, idol po talaga kita. Ate, pwede pa-picture?"

"Syempre naman po!" Masaya kong sagot. They got closer to me and took pictures with me one by one until the three of us took a selfie. They thanked me at that point. It's nothing new to me when they ask me to take a picture with them. 

Kahit mapa-intrams man, o kahit anong activity sa school ay ako palagi ang pambato lalo na sa beauty contest. I've been involved in this thing since I was in elementary school. Not because I prefer it, but because Mommy prefers it. But now things are different. I'm gradually growing to love it. 

I began modeling when I was five years old. I went through a lot before I got to this point in my modeling career. Back then, whenever Mommy heard that someone was looking for kids to model their product, she would push me, and of course, I would always follow Mommy until now. 

I also joined and was chosen as a band mother in my elementary, junior high, and senior high schools. I just smile every time I recall what I went through then and now. Despite this, I was subjected to a variety of derogatory remarks from my fellow humans. Even now, I am reminded of the kind words I have received from acquaintances, friends, parents, and others. 

Pagkatapos ng klase ay nagtipon-tipon kaming magkakaibigan sa Peace Park. My focus is on the phone due to another plan Laxus will devise for my friend. Julianne laughed as I looked at her. I couldn't make out what they were saying. I became nervous for some unknown reason when she turned to face me. My phone began to vibrate unexpectedly. I took a look at it and then saw Laxus' reply. 

From Laxus:

Do you think the plan I'm going to make is good? Will she like it?

To Laxus:

Ano ka ba, syempre naman. Simple lang naman si Julianne, kahit anong gagawin mo magugustuhan niya. 

Nilagay ko sa aking bulsa ang aking telepono. We stayed for a few minutes longer, and Laxus and I continued to discuss the plan he would devise for Julianne. I can't help but be envious because he surprises my friend every week. Alam kong masama ang nasa isip ko pero, hindi ko mapigilan  na hindi mainggit. 

Dapat nga maging masaya ako para sa kaibigan ko. Yes, i'm happy to her but I don't know why I feel this way. Nagpaalam na kaming magkakaibigan habang kaming dalawa nalang ni Julianne ang naiwan sa labas ng gate.
