Dear Diary,
My mother has just received a letter saying that my school will soon be evacuated. My heart stopped - no way was I going to the countryside with some idiots caning us, and us acting as slaves.
The following morning I awoke at 6am because I was unable to sleep. My sister had slept in so we were late for school. My sister is four years older than me - born in 1926, she still sleeps in every morning (apart from Saturdays). My mother was still covered in tears after flooding the house with them yesterday.
