Nothing To Hear

It was a long walk.
Miles and miles.
Blood and guts.
Screams of horror.

But we made it.

I nearly tripped as I ran up to my house, I go to the back, and open the gate.

"Clem! Wait up!" Kenny chuckles.

I made it to a tree. A tree I've missed for a bit.

I look up at the tree, and there was my treehouse. The same one that I first saw Lee in.

A huge smile plastered on my face.
I looked around, I didn't see any walkers in or near my house, so when Kenny finally caught up to me, I open the sliding glass door.

Well, it was my house. It looked the same. Well kind of. It still had the blood stains and it was more dusty, but other than that it was fine.

"Maybe we can finally rest up for a bit." Kenny says, as he kisses Aj's head.
"Yeah, yeah we can." I reply.

It was night. So I figured why not get some sleep? So I lay on my couch, move around a bit, and fall asleep.

When I woke up, I didn't hear a sound.
Not even the slight sound of snoring.
I heard nothing.
Not even the mumbles and grumbles of the dead.
I felt like I was all alone.
Because I was.
