Chapter 8

Rosemary's POV
"Get in the car."

"No!"

"GET IN THE CAR!"

"NO!"

I hid behind my brother.

"Rose go to Mal."

"Don't move."

"Rose go!"

I went to run but he grabbed me.

"MALAKAI!"

Adrian was thrown into the house. I was thrown into the trunk of his car. I went to try to break the taillight but it wouldn't break.

The car stopped. The trunk opened.

"GET OFF ME! MALAKAI! ADRIAN! MOM! SOMEBODY! I TRUSTED YOU! YOU SAID I WAS YOUR DAUGHTER!"

I went to run but he threw me over his shoulder. I was kicking,screaming,and punching. I was put in a bedroom.

"HEY! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?!"

"I have to."

"NO YOU DON'T! YOU'RE PLASTERED! YOU'RE NOT THINKING STRAIGHT!"

That's not an excuse though.

"HEY! LET ME GO! MALLY!"

I started pounding on the door.

"MATEO GET BACK HERE! HEY! MATEO!"

I went over to the bed and sat down. I brought my knees up to my chest. I looked around the room and saw that there was a tv.

I'm already on the news.

How lovely.

Oh look. Mal is in the background talking to my brother.

His leg looks much better.

He just punched something.

I cried for I don't know how long. When I calmed down I wrapped fabric around one of my hands. I walked over to the window and punched it. I went to jump out but he grabbed me.

"Nice try. Don't move."

I sat down and he came back and boarded up the windows.

"Hey! What are you doing?! Get off me!"

I heard a familiar voice one day.

"SHANE? Please don't get him involved!"

"Hey shorty."

"Why are you here?!"

"I asked him to come."

"You-you're somebody's brother! What would you do if this happened to one of your siblings?!"

"Stop it."

"Then why won't you stop this?!"

"You're just the cousin of my sister's friend."

"What are you doing?! Stop! Please! Just bring me home! Bring me to Mal! I won't say anything! I swear!"

I screamed. They got tired of hearing me so they put tape over my mouth. I got slapped.
