Can't find the words (ON HOLD)

Chapter 1

I glanced at the seat behind me to my right, thats where he sat and had sat for the past three years, Tommy, my Tommy he knew I loved him and I knew he loved me back. Though he'd never said it to me and neither had I. We did tell each other, just not in words because, well we could never find the right ones.I had known Tommy since the first day of school, love at first sight you might say but I wouldn't because what me and Tommy had was much deeper than words.

I had spotted him staring at me with those big green eyes of his filled with curiosity, he looked shy and I knew he wouldn't talk to me but he did do something else which surprised me. I watched as he fumbled through his back pack desperately searching for something, finally he found it. It was a half empty packet of love heart sweets. He ran over to me and planted one in my hand, then ran back to where he had been standing before, I looked down at my hand "hey" was the message the little sweet had written on it. I grinned a toothy grin and then popped it in my mouth.

Thats when it started. Everyday we brought a packet or more each and sent the little sweets to each other through out the day  this kept on going and we kept on changing until soon we were both teenagers. I had been starting to fancy him but could never tell him in fear of losing our deep friendship. Then one day well actually it was valentines day, I'd gotten a few cards but none from the person i really wanted one from but when I was sitting in class one of the younger kids burst through the door clearly out breath and told me practically shouting so everyone could hear and they were intently listening

"Alice, Alice I was told to give this card to you"

then she grinned obviously proud she'd succeeded in her task so I smiled at her and she rushed to pass me the envelope, my heart beat was racing as I carefully opened the envelope "please be him, please be him" I muttered under my breath. Finnally I pulled the card out and a little parcel fell out. I didn't care about that now it was probably just a necklace or something. The only thing I cared about was what was written inside. I peered inside then dropped the card, nothing not even a little signature saying 'Tommy', I felt like crying I picked up the parcel though I couldn't care less, I was miserable, I had been sure it would be him. The parcel was covered in soft red tissue with a ribbon wrapped around it. I ripped it open to find a little love heart sweet with three words on it

'I love You'   

I was literally on cloud nine soaring through the sky, of course it was Tommy, who else could of  thought of something so sweet. With in that second all my troubles were gone and I literally wanted to leap out of my chair and kiss him but I'm way to shy for that. Instead I dived for my bag searched the packet for the I love you too one which I knew would be there. Wait where was it! wait I'd found it truimphantly I handed it back to Tommy blushing scarlet as I did so. I wanted to say something to him, thank him but I didn't because I knew my smile told it all anyway.
