It is Sirius Black's last year at Hogwarts, which means he needs to marry someone soon or get disowned by his own family. His mother, Walburga, and his father, Orion, have been pressuring him for months, reminding him he needs to choose a pureblood woman to marry before it is too late.
Alice Kelley doesn't like the marauders — hell, she doesn't even associate with them. I mean, of course, she shares a few of her classes with them, but that's about it.
