"In the moonless darkness, we were just witnesses to light."
In this quote Aza and Davis are looking up at the night sky again. Aza finds herself drawn to the vastness of the black sky and how the stars can make us feel so small and our problems seem insignificant which liberates us in a way. I too feel that way about the universe. Looking into the black endlessness, it puts our problems into perspective. That out of all these crazy coincidences that had to happen for you to be here, you do exist and that has to count for something. It's so easy to get caught up in everyday struggles, and by no means are those insignificant or trivial but it feels kind of cathartic to look up and see nothing and everything that there is.
