"Washed" was inspired by the feeling of bliss that overwhelmed me when I stumbled across a beautiful old photo of some place in Rome. In this sandstone colored alley, I try to capture the essence of my spontaneous emotions by using a variegated wash of complementary hues: cobalts and tangerines. To finish off, I messily doodled some lines with my ink pen, darkening and filling in areas for deepened contrast and leaving others blank for the fullness of joy to take over.

I hope this small-scale painting brings you to Rome.

Tomorrow we will be trying some high relief 2D/3D art! Stay tuned for that!

Love you all!!
