Dawn's POV

I feel down onto my knees and sobbed. I couldn't tell if they were dead or alive. Marcos melted down the lock and rushed over to their sides.
"Dawn. Dawn. Andy. Hes alive but only just." I composed myself and went to go help Marcos. Together we dragged Andy's unconscious body out of the cell hall. I stayed with Andy while Marcos went to get Lauren. I noticed he was extremely cold so I absorbed some of the chemical energy from the remaining street lights and car batterys and used the thermal energy store to try to slowly warm him up. Marcos returned carrying Lauren over his shoulder. A few tears fell down his face and he shook his head at me. Lauren. She hasn't made it. How would I tell Andy?

We felt the presence of Esme in our conscience and we explained to her what we found and she told us that we were to take Andy and Lauren's body away from the war and return later and so we did just that. We hid them in a back street that seemed long since abandoned. Then returned to the fight. We were winning. There was nothing they could do to stop us now.

It was over.

The End.
