A Summary of How My Day Went

i had completely forgotten
to take short footage clips
of how i spent my day today

i initially hoped
i could compile them all
and create mini vlogs
for my future self
in case she needed
some random memories
to look back to

i took a leave from work
which coincidentally
fell under the same day
my best friend took hers

we both needed
to run an errand
and we both decided
to meet after
those errands were done
and so, we did

we ate at a foodcourt;
shared stories—that may
or may not include—smelling
bathrooms after
someone pooped in it;
searched a clothing store
for the white Gojo shirt
from her favorite anime;
bought groceries that
mostly belong to
the department of
Food We Crave For The
Weekend;
then finally
we parted ways

it would be nice
to have that included
in a vlog, right

but most of the time
when i'm having fun
i somehow forget
to capture it

i just let
the whole thing
play in real time

not really thinking
how my memory
can forget all of it
in the future;
not being scared
of how we - humans -
can change
and so do our relationships;
not calculating time
as to when
i could do
the same thing
all over again

i was just there
at the present moment
breathing them all in
and maybe
that is what it meant
to live

but hey,
my doors are
still open in taking
video clips
next time

you know,
if i would eventually
come to the point
of remembering
to take them for a vlog

in the meantime
