Chapter 15 Ke Ruan Killed Someone

Translator: Storm in a Teacup

"Han, don't worry. You'll be fine. I'm here to protect you. I promise," Ke Ruan said sincerely.

Before Si Yuhan had any response, Ke Ruan heard Lin Qingye asked him to be careful.

He took a look at the surroundings. These bandits had no chance to win General Lin, but...

Seeing many soldiers dying in front him, as a doctor, he couldn't just bear standing there and doing nothing.

"Han, hide in." Ke Ruan told Si Yuhan seriously. After all, he was just a seven-or-eight-year-old boy. People wouldn't pay attention to him. As long as Ke Ruan brought attention to himself, nothing would happen to Si Yuhan.

He told Si Yuhan patiently, "Hide in the carriage. Be a good boy and don't come out. Do you hear me?"

Si Yuhan nodded with a poker face.

Hearing this, Ke Ruan felt a little relieved. He picked up the nearest sword and warded off the assailant behind Lin Qingye's back.

Lin Qingye's face turned cold, "Go back! Young Master."

"I'm fine. Don't worry about me." Ke Ruan now focused on him.

"Be careful!"

Lin Qingye was distracted by Ke Ruan's participation in the fight. A bandit took the opportunity and tried to attack him. Ke Ruan hold his sword tightly and stabbed him right in the heart. Lin Qingye then instantly kicked him away.

Now Lin Qingye realized he must stay focused.

No one noticed that Ke Ruan's face was turning pale. His knuckles, too. He could barely hold the sword.

He was a doctor, who killed someone!

Of course he felt sorry for this. But under the circumstance, in this crazy age, one of them had to die. There was nothing he could do about it.

Ke Ruan stared at the man who he killed, and felt he couldn't even breathe.

Si Yuhan pulled back the curtain a little bit to see clearly what happened outside the carriage. Those bandits, they were all aiming at Ke Ruan.

Besides, he found that Ke Ruan's eyes occasionally swept the carriage.

What was in here?

Nothing but himself.

So, was he looking at him?

To see if somebody had killed me so that he wouldn't have to do it himself?

Or he wanted to check on him to make sure he was safe and sound.

Thinking of this possibility, Si Yuhan's eyes were turning blacker like ink on the paper. It was deep like ocean.

Si Yuhan withdrew his hand. Loneliness bloomed in his heart suddenly. He sneered.

"Ke Ruan!"

Seeing nothing unusual around the carriage, Ke Ruan felt relieved. It seemed that those bandits did not notice Si Yuhan yet. That was for the best. He wouldn't need to worry about Si Yuhan all the time.

Si Yuhan was jumping off the carriage. He picked up two stones and threw them at the two nearest bandits.

The assassins who was attacked now noticed Si Yuhan. They looked at him with anger and cruelty filled in their eyes. But in a moment, they withdrew their gazes.

Their purpose was Ke Ruan. This boy was just a nobody.

Si Yuhan frowned. His eyes were full of hostility now. He threw another stone. Only this time, he tried his best.

The moment the stone hit the bandit's head, he knelt down instantly.

He realized something was wrong. People who had learnt martial arts all knew about inner force. He didn't take this boy seriously before. After all, the boy was too young to be something. But he was wrong. It seemed that this little boy not only knew how to practice martial arts, but also he knew it too damn well.

The assassin now felt threatened. He picked up his sword and walked toward Si Yuhan...
