God Recycles

Arms locked in
the dangle of death,
flimsy fingers scarcely
enclose a
fractured locket.

Silver, slender links
--the exact links
which once obstructed
oxygen flow--
slither round and
round the arm
bereft of life.

Features anonymous,
curtained by hair
that swallows a
kneeling physique.

A cry, shredded and vile,
(resonating with a
searing, bubbling
throb dashing,
descending upon
the spine)
gushes from a
tattered mouth.

Splintering wings erupt
against a shredded back.
Sliced skin drapes
on the curved gliders,
their muscles mapped
by branches of blood.

Facing upwards
--locks pulsed back,
revealing a neck now
mended of past's
encircling, red
stifling line--
babe angel jerks freshly
born wings agape, the stroke
quivering the divine body.

It reverts to the familiar
rapture which originally
bore it.
Locket absolved,
a sin is forgiven,
for a dishonored angel has
reanimated upon Earth.
