Scared

Scared

You come to school all covered up,

and you say its just the cold,

when i try to touch you,

you flinch away from my hold.

When i ask what's wrong,

you just shrug and turn away,

but I always see a glimpse,

of a single tear fade.

Every week you back away,

from the people who really care,

hiding in the shadows,

'cause no one sees you there.

Your face is just a memory,

a thought I wish to see,

but when I approach,

you always turn to leave.

Soon, your just a dream I had,

a cloud in the mist,

a foggy figure I used to know,

though I will forever miss.

You seem to disappear,

whenever I look around,

by this I mean I'm scared for you,

'cause you never make a sound.

I'm scared you'll lose yourself,

I'm scared you'll drift away,

I'm scared to lose you any more,

I'm scared you'll forget your way.

Most importantly, I'm scared you'll be gone forever the next day.
