"Someone from the Aduivas will soon be here to attend to your injury.", a boy said, his hands clasped together, he was also wearing a cloak but not the same as Grace and Lynn. This boy was wearing a maroon cloak with signs of fire and water sewn with golden threat along the belt and the hem of the cloak. The boy was maybe sixteen or seventeen years old, Catherine guessed.

Catherine couldn't comprehend anything ever since the fall. She entered an old dilapidated house, there were no signs of people living there, then who are these people and why are they wearing these theatrical clothes?

She did not respond to the statement of the boy but she glanced at Noah and he gave the boy a weak smile.

The boy bowed slowly and then closed the door of the guest room behind him.

Noah was about to speak when he heard voices coming from outside the room.

Catherine and Noah could hear several footsteps approaching but the sound came to a halt right behind the closed door.

"Is it true?", a girl asked.

"Yes, yes. I saw them myself. They were wearing these weird clothes.", a boy said. Noah guessed he is the same boy who was in the room a few seconds ago.

"Huh. Really? You kids should know that they all are lying. There are no anomalies in this world.", a boy said. His voice was deeper and filled with haughtiness . He wasn't in his teenage for sure.

"Shut up, Theo. These kids are naive and tractable. Don't take advantage of that.", another voice said, it was girl this time. Her voice was smooth but not delicate.

"Maybe the guerrillas should stop manipulating these kids for their morbid interests", the boy replied spitefully.

"Catherine", Noah whispered.

Catherine was sitting on a canopy poster bed. The bed was covered in beige linen and an Ivory coloured quilt was draped at the foot of the bed.

Noah was sitting on the European wing chair placed on the right side of the bed.

Catherine looked at Noah and raised her eyebrows gesturing him "what?"

"Do you have your cellphone?, I left mine in my room.", he whispered.

"Yeah", Catherine replied , her voice was loud enough to be heard outside the room.

"Shhhh, keep it low", Noah whispered while putting his index finger on his lips.

"Why?", Catherine asked while fishing out the phone from her pocket.

Noah shook his head and stoop up. He strolled towards Catherine and sat at the edge of the bed right next to her.

"Okay, listen to me Catherine. We don't know who these people are. I saw sheaths on their table so I am guessing they have swords.", Catherine gasped as Noah spoke these words.

"Yes, it's dangerous. They think it's some kind of sick drama. Gryneff? Hah", Noah scoffed while saying this and the continued . "Gryneff is not even a real place! It's a made up place in old fables.", Noah averred.

"What?", Catherine asked.

"Yes! I heard about Gryneff in the stories Ms. Aritzvah used to-", Noah did not complete the sentence. He shook his head slightly and said
"Believe me Catherine, for all we know these people can be sociopaths. Call 911 ASAP.", Noah said urging Catherine to unlock her phone and make a call.

"Right.", Catherine nodded in agreement and swiped the Lock Screen to unlock her phone. She dialled 911 but there was no network in this area.

"No network, damnit", Catherine whispered.

"How is that even possible?  I never experienced network issues in my house.", Noah said.

It was the only option left that Noah could think of.

"We have to jump off the window.", Noah told Catherine. Looking into her eyes, asking her to have faith.

Noah's face was close to hers. She could feel his breath fanning her lips.  She had never realised Noah eyes were this beautiful.

"Catherine?", Noah said and she snapped out of her zone.
"I-I can't, my ankle, it hurts", Catherine said tearing her gaze away from Noah's and looking down at the sheets on the bed.

"We don't have a choice Catherine", Noah said putting a hand on her shoulder.

"I want you to stay strong. Once out of here we will go to the doctor straight. My house is right next door Catherine. It will be fine", Noah told Catherine.

"Yeah okay, I can do that.", Catherine said after taking a deep breath.

"Alright let's go.", Noah said and bolstered Catherine on one side so that she can walk faster. Catherine was still limping her way towards the window.

Once they both reached the window Catherine caught the edge of the shelf by the window and Noah opened the windows. Noah peeked outside the window to see if Catherine will be able to jump the given height.

Noah couldn't believe his eyes, so he looked around to double-check if it were really true.

To the left. To the right.

The walls of the house seemed perennial. It wasn't a house, it was manor and this sure as hell wasn't Virginia, it was Gryneff indeed.

"What happened?", Catherine asked. Noah had the expression as if he had seen a ghost.

Noah gazed at Catherine. His eyes wide open. His breath caught in his throat.

"Say something?", Catherine said, a little louder this time.

"Uhhh, we're stuck here", Noah said in exasperation.

Catherine tilted her head quizzically.

"We are in Gryneff indeed.", Noah replied.
