Thought it would be sort of fitting to post today since it's my birthday 😄

My eyes slightly open from the sunrise through the curtains. One of my hands was already laying on one side of his chest as the other one was touching the back of his neck.

I look up with my eyes fully open and find myself naked laying on him. His hands were resting on my back and he was facing the ceiling.

I hear him slowly groan and move a bit as he started to open his eyes as well. A small smile appeared on his face and he pulls me up a bit to make himself closer to me.

"Morning" He whispers as he closes his eyes again and gives me a quick kiss on my forehead

"Morning" I whisper back as I look at him.

He noticed how I wasn't laying my head back on his chest and kept my eyes open.

"Okay, okay..... we should talk," He said as he could read it off my face.

he sits up a bit and leans his back against the headboard

I still lay down a little bit and use a few pillows for my back as I use the covers to cover up my breasts.

"Look, what happened yesterday..... it just wasn't healthy for our relationship anymore," I said

"I know and we said some fucked up think to each other"

".....your mom wouldn't beat the shit out of you"

"And I think we really need to talk"

".....your dad wouldn't hate you"

He and I got both dressed in silence.

It's like he wants to say things but doesn't know how to.

We both sit down on the couch downstairs and have our own little space.

"I'm sorry for acting so shitty on your birthday" He begins

"I know you are"

"No, you have no idea. I knew that at some point your birthday would come, but the timing for me and my job-"

"And your child" I add

He sighs "Right..... Just wasn't ideal for me"

"I know, I don't really get to choose when my birthday is you know?" I look down at my fidget hands

"yes, I understand, but I just got so angry about the fact that Calvin was there and now you see him every day at school" he explains

"So talk to me about that. Instead of ignoring me and ruining my birthday", I say looking up to him.

He bites his lower lip trying to hold in a tear. My words about him are definitely hurting him, but it's not like he has been the best to me.

"Yeah, sorry" was all that came out of him.

"Jaden. I know this is a whole other topic, but I think I underestimated the whole pregnancy thing with Teresa" I sighed

"What do you mean?"

"Well, this whole week I've been trying to talk to you and I know your busy with work and I get that I'm not the most important person in your life anymore, but I was feeling like I was losing everything"

He looks at me trying to study me as he lets me speak.

"I'm failing in school, some friends of mine are acting weird and I'm missing my dad"

"I'm so sorry, I had no idea"

"My dad and I always would watch the same movie on the night of my birthday" I started to explain the movie and he just listens to me.

"And what is it about your grades?" He asks

"I didn't go to school for a while because of what was going on, but I missed a lot and I had no idea that it would have such an impact on it" I wipe one tear down from my cheek

"And who has been acting weird?"

"Maya. That girl that once came over here?"

He nods and hums "So, we will get your grades up with some professional tutors for every subject you think you need one for. And don't worry about your friend. You have Addison, Avani, Emma, Larran" He nods

"Larray" I correct

He comes closer to me and strokes my hair.

"And you need to know, that you are the most important person in my life. Even with that child"

I smile a little bit and lean my head into his shoulder

"And..... if you want to we can watch that movie that you used to watch with your dad?" He asks to make sure

"Yeah, we'll see" I smile and look up to him.
