1) I wrote this story to capture a lot of my own memories of my trip to Spiti. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.
2) Heer is named after the song in Tamasha. The vibe of the movie also matches this character in my head.
3) The sweatshirt that Heer borrows from Ishaan is based on a true story. Only in the true version, I lent my college sweatshirt to a friend and got it back. :'D
4) The café in Chapter 20 is based on a real café. They have a doggo too! He's named Zikpo which means 'handsome'. The minute I saw him and learned his name, I knew I had to write a story where Ishaan (another handsome dude) meets him. :P
5) When I visited Chandertal, I couldn't see the stars either. Even later in the night, it was too cloudy. I had to rely on my imagination and the stars of another equally beautiful place to write the chapter.
6) The early readers would know that this story never had an epilogue to begin with. But the early readers wanted one. And so I wrote it out. Thanks to them! It's my favourite chapter of the story. :)
7) Ishaan is a bit of an old soul. He continues to write letters and notes to Heer.
8) He never got his sweatshirt back. :D
