i've begun to believe that...

life's too jam-pack-jilted
with an upscale rocky mountain of buyers
who once enough tried it out
          like a been-there done-that
serve the pitch and ditch that bat
but never skidded to a stop to a start again
                                                                  dear friend

and maybe

the world's a tad bit too tight,
all chockablock full of failures and runners
not a room for the hole-in-one-ers,
climbing mountains to fit that form so fine
but never thunderbolt bursting from the edge
to see just to see if humanity is any prettier
                                                                from above.
