"You bastard! Do you even remember mom?!" I screamed at my dad. Mom had only passed on a year ago and he was already proposing to another woman.
"Don't you talk to me like that, young lady. Just please, meet Evangeline. She's really very nice."
"But is she mom?!" I retorted, looking at him fiercely. My question was met with silence and I couldn't bear it anymore, running off to my room and slamming the door.
