Dear You,

You. That is a strange way to put it isn't it? I know you have a name, an identity, a personality. But I think it makes it easier for us if we just address you, as simply YOU. At least for now.

So welcome. Here is all that I can remember about you:
• you like the rain and the way it feels on your skin
• making decisions was always super hard for you
• you would happily share your last cupcake of you got to see her smile
• if someone breaks a pinky promise and they're as good as gone to you
And that's really all I have.

Most of who you are has just been erased from my mind. You are simply being lost to time.

That's why, I'm writing. Because I don't want to forget you. I want to find you. Teach you. Show you right from wrong.

I just don't want to lose you anymore. I want to be able to remember you. Every piece of you, all the good, bad, ugly, traumatic, dramatic, and real.

I am going to find you though. And I'm going to remember you. And I will never give up on you.

Sincerely,
L.T.
