He starts his day without caffeine
And gets going without any pills
Eats the same food day after day
And doesn’t worry about any bills
He never bores people with his troubles,
and looks always upbeat
He leads a splendid, exemplary life
Without malice, lies and deceit
He needs no dose of drugs or liquor
to drive away his tensions
If ever he suffers pains and fears,
he hardly ever mentions
He stands steadfast and walks by your side
Like a gallant soldier on duty
And when he confronts his lady counterpart
He shows utmost respect to her beauty
He understands when you are too busy
To give him any time
He still reciprocates unconditionally
with humility sublime
So awe-inspiring, so placid,
so marvelously self-contained;
He never does criticize or whine
His love is incredibly unrestrained
He’s never unhappy, nor demented
With the mania of possessing things
He is our cute little four year old Shadow(Labrador)
And we adore him for the joy he brings!
