When the days try to darken.
I shall not let them!
When trouble comes,
I shall not fear!
When my heart is in turmoil,
I shall not stumble!
Nor shall I let the night blind me,
For Adonai is my helper,
And I have called out to him.
If my fate is to fall,
I will heed!
But until the day the lord intervenes, nothing shall quench my fire.
I will not let the light expire!
For I believe that hope is lost,
On the day you let it.
I will stand by you friend, to whatever end!
