Playing by Ear

It all started with the tune of a guitar and her intoxicating voice, Salem Evans. They could be each other's saving grace, but that's not what they would say, they would call it them playing by ear.

"Crap! I forgot I have a biology final today. I'm so screwed." She ran her fingers through her deep red hair and sighed heavily. Wynter knew for a fact she hated the class with a passion and remembered the time she went on and on about how much she hated her professor.

Of course, he had to smile at her because she somehow always made the sides of his lips form into a smile. Reaching into his pocket, he grabbed the item he wanted to give to her and tossing her the pick he had, "There, now you'll do great since you have a good luck charm." He knew it wasn't, but she didn't need to know that.

She gave me a wide smile and softly ran her fingers over the smooth surface of the plastic guitar pick, "Thanks, I might actually pass now. But if it doesn't work, you're getting me a puppy." He then shook his head and let out a laugh, only Salem.
