The year was 2005 and the young raven black haired twins named Kimberly and Mackenzie were ten years old. They lived in a house on the very edge of the woods. The two little girls were playing catch together but Mackenzie accidentaly threw the ball too far and it bounced into the afternoon woods. "d'aw man Macky! You threw it too far again! and this time it actually went into the woods" Kimberly teased her twin

"Shuddup Kimmy, wet's just go get da ball" yelped at her golden eyed twin as they walked into the woods to look for the ball.

When they found it, it was at the base of a tall tree with a paper on it. Kimberly sat down at the base by the ball and let out a sigh as she sat crisscross looking at her sister. Mackenzie picked up the ball and snatched the paper off of the tree. "Woah Kimmy, somebody in here needs help...hope nobody took their candy" Mackenzie said as she looked at the note. Kimberly held her hand out and her sister handed the note to her. "Uh Macky, if they are in need of help, don't you think they would leave the forest, instead of just leaving notes?"

Mackenzie put her right index finger to her chin and pursed her little lips in thought "maybe, but maybe they actually can't leave the forest" Mackenzie said and then looked at her sister who was looking up at something that had blocked the light from them. Mackenzie looked up to be face to face with a faceless man. "Or perhaps they are in need because people will treat them fowly" Kimberly said in a saddened tone as the man bent down to the young girls.

"tall man? can we help you, like you asked for in the note?" sweet hearted Mackenzie asked the man who shook his head 'no' at the raven haired girl with golden eyes that  were filled with pitty. The little girl frowned but then smiled "can we be your friends?" She asked with glee and the man tilted his head then nodded 'yes'.

Mackenzie jumped up happily and hugged the man, who had knelt beside them, around the neck. "Yay! Can you play catch with us?" With that question the man and the girls began to play catch. Their game went on until evening rolled around and the little ones had to leave to be home on time "By tallman! See you tomorrow!" Kimberly shouted as they left the forest and went back home. Neither told their parents about their encounter with the tallman, fearing that their parents would mock him, or even hurt him.
