(Amelia's POV)

"What happened Honey?" my mom asked as I set my stuff down

"Stuff mom, I just needed a brake" I sit on the couch "Where's dad?" I try and change the subject

"Don't you change the subject young lady" She scowled

"He's just so frustrating. Everything is so difficult" I close my eyes leaning my head back

"Its hard being in a gang honey, especially when you are the leader. Your father and I both had our hardships running it" she looked away "I want to tell you a story"

"I'm not a toddler mom" I roll my eyes

"Just listen will ya" I shut up and motioned for her to go on "I spent a year with your father before I got so fed up with the gang stuff and with him, It was stressful. Do you know what your aunt and I did when the stress got to much for us?" I shook my head "We ran"

"You ran?"

"Yep, and we disappeared off the face of the earth for four years. In those four years your aunt Callie got kidnapped by one of the rival gangs, living in the gang life is not a piece of cake Amelia. Don't run away from your problems like I did, try and face them"

"Did you know about the ball that is happening Friday?" I asked

"Yes" she nodded with a smile "Are you going?"

"No" I answer shortly

"Axel is not taking you? are you not dating?"

"He says we are dating, he tells everyone that. Then he said he wasn't going to tell me about the bell because he was planning on taking Courtney the gang slut" I roll my eyes and my mom scowled at the word slut "Sarah knew about the ball, she's the one that told me about it during breakfast the other day"

"Maybe he had a good reason for not wanting to take you, the gang ball can get dangerous sometimes"

"I didn't stay long enough to hear him out, but then again he didn't stop me either. Are you going?"

"Yes"

"Can I go with you and dad?" I asked

"why not" she shrugged, as we talked some more about dresses dad walked in the house "Took you long enough" My mom playfully rolled her eyes getting up to greet him, I looked away as they kissed

"Oh, I didn't see you there Amelia"

"Hi, dad" I stand up and give him a hug

"What are you doing here?" he asked

"What? I can't come see my parents?"

"Sure, but why are you here? I can tell you aren't here just to see us"

"Don't worry about it dad, mom and I sorted it out" I brush off

"ok..." he says hesitantly "Love you baby" he kissed the top of my head

"Love you too dad"

"Whos hungry?" My mom asked and both my dad and I raised our hands making her laugh. My dad and I both loved food
