Peter grumbled intelligently to himself as he padded his way through the apartment, rubbing at his eyes- being woken up by the buzz of his phone with a message from Harley Keener was not how he wanted to wake up that morning.

Or any morning.

As he made his way into the kitchen, Peter vaguely noticed the distinct lack of Natasha as he shuffled around the island. Waking up to an empty apartment was not an unusual occurrence, ever since he had been settled the assassin had gone back to doing longer missions though never stayed away longer than a few weeks opposed to the months he knew she could spend undercover. He'd also grown accustomed to seeing a brightly coloured sticky note stuck to his favourite mug written in her familiar handwriting, reading:

'Got a mission, be back in a few days, call Nick and Clint if you need anything.

money for food in the cookie jar. Don't burn the house down :)'

Involuntarily Peter's lip quirked upwards at the usual message and the ridiculous smiley face he knew she did out of spite, before he quickly filled the mug with coffee and wandered back into his bedroom. He was intent on working on a few assignments that had been clogging up his planner for the past few weeks when he noticed a new email flashing in his inbox.

Curious, he clicked and almost dropped the mug he had been carrying from shock if it weren't for his quick reflexes snatching it again mid-air.

Tony Stark. It was from, the Tony Stark.

It took three of four times of his eyes raking over the same assembled words for Peter's brain to finally catch up and process what he was reading- his heart beat a mile a minute. Tony Stark wanted to visit Peter Parker and family to discuss the possibility of an internship because of his papers and grades on the billionaire's work.
