It was Sunday afternoon when it all happened. When all my things were all set up in my new shelther.

I met my roomate. She was wearing that cream white ruffled dress. its collar complemented her rosy cheeks. Her straight back hair was hanging on her shoulder that extend with tips of waves down to her back and her big brown eyes was twinkling like night skies when she blinks every seconds as she read that gold coated bound paper back.

"Is that a novel?" I said with enthusiasm

"What?" she confusedly asked. She didn't notice I was watching her for the same time.

"Oh! Forgive my manners. I'm Earlaiza but you can call me Laizainstead, it is easier that way. I assume you you're my roomate for this Semester?" I adored her puzzled expression.

We both ate dinner together and talk about our life. She said that she belonged to a financially unstable family who was plowing the land that they don't own. She kept talking about her home and how simple and happy their life was in their province.

The day after that,in my first day of class, I discovered that she was on the same class I was. Dumb me, I talked to her all night and not asking her course section! So were going to be classmates, roomates, and seatmates for this semester! I was hapy to know that.

After that we became the closest of friends, having to eat, study, and have fun with each other.

Months have passed things have changed. My circle of friends extended like a rubber that suffocated me. I had almost everything but I couldn't monitor my roomates condition anymore, my self proclaimed sister.

She barey went to class. When she's not digging her head on that golden book in in fron't of the mirror, she's just lying on her bed, awake, with those lines under her eyes. She won't go eat with me outside anymore or even say a word.

One day my boyfriend told ne the first time he saw me, I was always there eating in the cafeteria alone.

"What?!?" chills crawled from my shoulder up to my nape. I was pretty sure that he is referring to the place where Bela and I would always eat.

Funny, it was impossible for him not to notice Bela from any direction. But I just let it passed by.

Later at school, during the checking of attendance, after my name was called,

"Ma'am, my seatmate Nobela Zorel can't make it to school todat due to sickness."

"Huh?" She replyed.

"Bela, my seatmate, she's sick!"

My Prof. and my classmates gave me an awkward look.

"My dear! You never had a seatmate, you're the lone person in the back row!"

The thunders roared it's angered as I ran back home. Opening all the rooms, I saw no one. I was alone. I then searched for my landlady and asked her,

"Was this room occupied by two persons?"

"No, your parents paid for everything. They requested to give you everything you need and this place should be for you alone to use."

It was pilling up inside my brain. Her face was hunting my memories, her skin crawling in every inch of my imagination, her voice distorting the stand of my beliefs . . CHASING

Am I going to believe it? NO! What i felt is more realistic than what they said in television, a genuine spark within me.

The question is still bigging my mind when that golden book caught my eyes. Before I even decided on it, I was sitting on Bela's bed, right on the spot where we used to sit. I opened the book, readit, and finished. I puzzled on the book for a while, It's her autobiography. Why didi she kept on reading her own story? When there's nothing so remarkablein it!

I was just closing the book when I barely miss the note scribbled on the foreword. For whatever reason, it gave me goose bumps.I seemed to have used to if it has something to do with Bela, and the coincidence did not make me feel comfortable at all. Though totally paralyzed, I slowly raised my head and locked gazed with the mirror without my reflection, when somebody by the door asked me,

"Is that a novel?"

Suddenly, I found myself to that familiar face -- that refreshing smile, those eyes, that refreshing smile, those eyes that I adored so much, staring at me confused, I said,

"What?"

Then. . .

"Oh! Forgive my manners.I'm Bela, I assumed you're my roomate for this semester?"
