Rendezvous with death

Come near, comely child
Shields of tears make you exiled
I created a tenebrous place
For our tryst to commence

A mellifluous sound, a bugle call
Dance with a good will, or not at all
Demure words and tearing face
Rhythmical steps and your loving embrace

Stay close, I shall take you there
Far from this world of despair
Overcome lassitude
So you can rest in solitude

A whimsical act, a masquerade ball
In the end, death comes for us all
Life is not of great emphasis
Hold my hand, accept nemesis.
