Today Ann snuk chicken outta the kitchen. She had done it a lot before but today she got caught. Master Smith beat her in front of all of us. Said he gonna send her down south next week. I hate it here. But Joanna say it ain't right to hate. Yet I still have an anger inside me that I can only think is hate. Worst thing Master Smith did was throw that chicken to the hogs. It would've made a fine dinner for someone.
