A boy named Mark woke up one day seeing a tiny red button on his dresser and his parents smiling happily in the door-way. "It's red button day" they both said that the same time. "Wha-" Before he could finish is sentence his mother told him to get dressed and put the button onto your shirt. Mark did as she said then called his girlfriend to ask her what was up with this 'Red Button Day'. "Hey Sally, what's going on? What's with this Red Button Day?" He asked. She replayed "Goodluck." And hanged up the phone.
Around lunch time Mark and his whole family heading to the Mayor's house for the meeting. When they got there the Mayor himself greeted everyone and then called Marks family up. "it's time" The mayor said smiling. Mark's father nodded and turned to everyone "See guys it's this easy." He took off his red button and then pressed it making him turn into ashes in an instant. The mother giggled and pressed hers as well. Mark looks down at the ashes with tears of confusion and fear. "W-what's going on! Tell me!" He screamed at the mayor. A smirk tugged at the mayor's lips and then he said "Over population has gone out of control. Mark, you MUST push your button."
