seeing you even becomes an obstacle
and for once, it isn't one that i'd like to overcome

what is it for that we keep hiding our tears and not talk about it
and why is it that when you drown i couldn't seem to be afloat

all is well when i hope and pray for heaven to whisper
and ask for help and guidance to be sent down
but why does it seem so out of reach ¿

what have we become ¿
and where did the promise fly away to ¿

i pray it doesn't lose hope in its speaker because that's all they've only got
because in its wings is where they will find peace
for they know whether it'll go or stay

and sure the hope does pass around
praying it wouldn't be homeward bound someplace else

stab me slowly because with my blood will the sun doze away
its hunger and thirst aren't something that could be fixed

—just like a heart that yearns but it's only filled with void
and soon that promise isn't going to stay

find it a new home
because when you drown, what is left ¿

keep me a misfit of yours because we sure know we don't suit us

this is not goodbye
because to whom did we say hello to ¿

this hellhole is how they think paradise is
when my fires never speak a thing to them

so when will you quit your shame
and come home
because with you will everything be afloat
and the sun will see us again
except now it won't die of blood anymore

you will be the death of it
including mine
.
so please,
do live.
always.
