Thirty years ago, I had an experience out of the ordinary. It was a night like no other. The weather was stormy and the pouring rain was producing a familiar sound ticking on the glass of my window.  It was almost midnight and I couldn't fall asleep. The reason for this was I had a small piece of meat for dinner and I had a slow metabolism.

Suddenly I felt something weird. It was a noise just outside my window. After a moment I realized that there was a flash of light that passed through my window and towards the wall in front of me. It frightened the life out of me! I was speechless. I knew that someone was out of my room trying to find a way to enter.

I reluctantly stood still and grabbed the rifle just beneath my bed. I felt a great deal of courage and tried to take a look out of the window. There was nothing there. I breathed a sigh of relief and tried to collect my thoughts and think of my course of action. I dashed to the kitchen and opened a small door, making my way out.

To my amazement, I saw a little boy watching and chuckling at me. His skin was dark and his eyes were wide open. He was whispering something that I could not understand and I had the feeling that he must have been the devil himself. I lifted my rifle and aim at him, thinking that it was the only way to get rid of that peculiar creature. Out of the blue, he made a quick movement and disarmed me.

I was in front of him, helpless and with the great fear that I was about to lose my life. He touched my wrist and I shrieked with pain as a load of electric charge run through my whole body. After a moment or so, I regained my strength and fought back with the use of a small knife that I had inside my left pocket. He was badly injured and made his way to the bushes living me breathless and shocked.
