its the 19th of december
and i'm wrapping mountains of gifts
baking tons of cookies and pies
sweating over fudge and peanut brittle
carpalling through dozens of cards
weighing down an executed tree
with glass and crystal and feathers
blinding us with 1500 lights
shopping for the perfect feast
cleaning the floors fridge windows
bathrooms bookshelves nooks crannies
decorating the windows with swags
garlands holly lights ribbon cord
what the hell do i think i'm doing
its december 19th 2012
and everybody knows the world
is going to end in two days
so why why why am i running myself ragged
to decorate celebrate masticate armageddon?
