Well heres chapter two, sorry it took so long :( i was having major issues with my laptop but managed to get it fixed, so hopefully it wont be so long next time! enjoy guys!

Sometimes, I still get lost trying to navigate myself around this huge, victorian style mansion. But today, I make it all the way down two flights of stairs and through a dozen rooms without having to turn around once. And at records speeds. I end up in the parlor right next to the entryway, where the front door is located. The double dutch doors are open wide and I have to duck behind the door frame to avoid being seen by Eva, our crabby housekeeper, who's coming from the opposite side of the entry way to open the door, her high heels clicking across the marble floor. I hear the front door swing open and just for a moment there's silence, until finally Eva speaks up.

"What's a tramp like you doing at the doorstep of Mr. Johnothan Kingston? If you're trying to sell something, save your breath. We're not interested." The door starts to squeek shut, but stops abruptly when the boy speaks for the first time.

"Wait, that wasn't what I wanted!" His voice sounds...almost...beautiful, clear and rich and boyish, but with just a hint of manliness. He couldn't be any older than Crispen.

"Well, than what is it?"

I'm straining my ears, wanting to hold on to every single word.

"I wanted to speak to Mr. Kingston, if you please. I have a very important matter to discuss with him."

Eva laughs, an awful, obnoxious laugh that the whole household has learned to hate. I grit my teeth and cross my fingers. Let him in, let him in!

"Important matters, huh? Mr. Kingston is a busy man. Too busy to waste time with the likes of you." The door starts to shut again, but once more, it stops mid-squeek.

"Please. Just five minutes; that's all I need."

There's a very long pause that seems to last forever. At last Eva heaves a huge sigh, as though she just can't win. "Alright. five minutes. But if I get in trouble for this...Come on, you'll wait in the parlor." The parlor? That's where I am! I flatten my body against the wall and look around franictally for a place to hide, but it's too late. Eva is already leading him into the room and flipping on the light switch. "It'll be just a few minutes." She gives him a suspicouis glance out of the corner of her eye. "Don't get the furniture dirty."

The click of her high heels gets quiter and quieter as she marches back through the entryway. Alright, safe from Eva. Now, as long as he doesn't look over here...

I  hold my breath and stand as still as a statue. He's only a few feet away from me, and is apparently scanning the room. If the shadows fall in the right place, it's possible that he won't see me...He starts walking away, towads the couch, still looking around. Am I safe? He sits down on the couch with his back facing me. I can't even see his head over the top of the plush white coushin. Phew! That was close. For a second I'm pondering how to exit without drawing his attention, when suddenly a new idea strucks me. I'll stay! Of course. I'll just creep over behind the couch where neither him or Uncle Jonathan will be able to see me, and I'll be able to listen to their whole conversation. Perfect!

Ive barely made it to my destination behind the couch when Uncle Jonathon enters the room. He doesn't waist time; gets straight down to business.

"My housekeeper told me there was a young boy out here who needed to discuss a very important matter with me."
