Balm Or Ointment?

[PRESENT DAY]

[As Aarya couldn't bear her burning sensations, she cried more, but she decided not to go to anyone. So she got down and started searching for something which can heal it. She searched here and there, finally she got a small first aid box.]

[She saw there were some bandages and 2 different tubes of creams. Unaware of these, she took one tube.]

[Vijay opened his eyes and looked at the smart watch. The screen blinked and it showed 11:45 pm. He got down from bed and opened one of his drawers at the bedside. He put out the medication box and took the Ointment from it.]

[He decided to give her the Ointment, so he went to Aarya's room.]

[Aarya, in her room applied the cream almost ½ of her burning places. Within a second, she felt more burning sensation and that was increasing. Gradually it became unbearable.]

Aarya: (holding her hand screaming and crying) Ahhhhhhhh....(to herself) Urghhhhhhh (weeping).

[On the other hand, Vijay was just about to enter into her room. Listening to her voice he rushed and pushed the door.]

[Seeing her situation, Vijay rushed to hold her hand to see. She was surprised to see her brother, but as the pain was unbearable she couldn't think more about it.]

Vijay: (observing her left hand) What did you applied?

[Aarya pointed towards the tube which she used. He took a look at it and screamed at her.]

Vijay: Are you insane or what? Don't you have any eyes? (Screamed in anger) This is a pain relief balm!!! And you've applied in a burned area!!

[She was just crying and said nothing.]

[Vijay ran downstairs and returned with a bowl of Ice Cubes.]

Vijay: Sit down (pointing on the floor).

[As she sat down on the marble floor, Vijay took her hand and as he looked at her ½ of the red burned area, he got a obscene guilt feeling in his own mind. He gently rubbed her burned area with ice to remove the excess balm.]

Aarya: Ahhhh, it hurts Bhaiya... (About to moan)

Vijay: Shut up (in anger). Don't you remember it before applying the balm?

Aarya: How could I know which is the correct tube, Bhaiya?

[He didn't reply to her. After cleaning all of the cream he gently patted the area with tissue. Then he took the Ointment which he brought for Aarya.]

Aarya: Give it to me Bhaiya. I can apply.

[Vijay looked at her with a swollen angry face and quickly she downed her head being silent.]

[Vijay gradually smudged the cream all over her upside of hand.]

Vijay: I've asked Ramu Chacha to arrange your dinner. Just go and have it.

[Before she could say anything to him, Vijay left the room.]

[The next morning at 8:10 am, Aarya got ready by Maya, her Governess in her school uniform. She was looking so adorable. The pleated grey skirt fell just below her knees, paired with a neatly ironed light grey half sleeves shirt. She wore knee-high socks and shiny black shoes, which completed her classic look. Her hair is neatly tied back in braids on both side, with a hairband adding a touch of charm.]

Maya: Aarya Baby, you're looking too cute today.

Aarya: Really Maya Auntie?

Maya: Why do I lie to you?

Aarya: But you're the cutest (smiling)

[Saying that, she pulled 47-50 years old Maya's cheeks. She had seen her since her knowledge.]

[After getting ready, she came with her schoolbag downstairs in excitement.]

Ramu Chacha: Aarya Beta, come here and have your dinner.

Aarya: No, just wait for Bhaiya.

Ramu Chacha: But it's already 8:20 am. Your bus will arrived at 8:30 am.

[In between their conversation, they both heard boot sounds at stairs.]

Aarya: (towards Ramu Chacha) Shhhh, Chacha. Bhaiya is coming. I've told you everything about yesterday. Let's see how I can speak with him.

[As Vijay saw Ramu Chacha..]

Vijay: Uhhh... Chacha. I've some urgent meeting. So please pack my lunch and keep that in my car and I'll have my breakfast outside.

Aarya: (interrupting him) But Bhaiya, please have something before going to office. I'm waiting for you.

[Vijay looked at her once but started walking to the door ignoring her. So she rushed in front of him to stop.]

Aarya: What happened Bhaiya?

Vijay: Aarya, stay aside.

Aarya: (extended her arms) Nooooo..... Wayyy...

Vijay: Aarya, can't you hear me?

[As he tried to go beside the sofa, she rushed to the opposite side to stop him.]

Aarya: Bhaiya, yesterday you talked to me. It means you are not angry. (Smiling) Right?

Vijay: Aaryaaaaa!!!! (Screamed in anger)

[Vijay pushed her and went outside in anger.]

[As there was a sofa she didn't get hurt but she was terribly shocked by his voice. Then she got up and looked at Ramu Chacha with moist eyes.]

Ramu Chacha: What you've said to me yesterday? Bhaiya changed!! Is he changed really?

[Aarya couldn't reply him as her heart was totally broken. Her happiness was gone in a second.]

Ramu Chacha: Let's go. Your bus is waiting. Or you're gonna be late for school.

[In the evening, Vijay returned home but he was very exhausted today. Aarya silently peeped into his bedroom. He changed into his casual t-shirt and pants, and was busy with his laptop.]

[Aarya silently walked to him and silently patted on his elbow. Her face was totally filled with fear but she showed him a drawing paper. ]

Aarya: Look, Bhaiya! I made this for you today.

Vijay: Uhhh.. I'm busy. Not now.

Aarya: (in a hope) But Bhaiya, I worked really hard on it. I wanted to show you how much I love you. This is you, and this is me! See, we're holding hands because........

Vijay: Aarya, (little screamed) just stop it. And get out.

Aarya: But Bha.....

Vijay: This is last time I'm warning you not to come to my room. Just get out.

Aarya really showed her affection for her brother. But as a result she got only pain and hatred.
