"You sure she is coming?" Lacy asked for the hundredths time as I sat on the porch with Ariven, Mika and her. It felt weird actually having a civil conversation and all that was missing was Alex.

"If there is one thing I know about her it's that she always shows up. She might be a little late but she'll be here." I reassured as I snuggle closer into my mate, feeling Ariven's arms tighten around me. I smiled as I felt him snuggle into me, not caring what the two with us said.

"How will she know she is here?" Mika grinds out and I couldn't help but roll my eyes. He had his chance so he shouldn't be acting this jelous.

"You'll know." Ariven says, followed closely by a few howls. I smirked as I felt his chest shake with a chuckle behind me.

"There's a rogue on my borders. He's tearing through my defense." The sounds of a chase could be heard through the forest close to the pack house as well as some whimpers. I could only imagine the hell that had been risen from this moment.

"Why are you sitting there so calmly?" Lace asked me frantically as I just snuggled closer to Ariven.

"Because this is amusing." I answer truthfully. There was only one person who could get through the defense I had created because she had trained me and my pack when it was first created.

"I'm going. My pack is in danger by soulless and now this rogue. There is now way we can stop him and the soulless." Mika shouts, Ariven tensing behind me.

"Alpha above you!" Some one shouts and I watch as a blur of fur tackles Mika to the ground. Flames danced in the light as my ex mate was held down.

"Amberle be nice." A deep voice chided her and I couldn't help but laugh as the wolf with flame like fur turned to look to a male who was casually leaning against a tree with a pout on her wolf face.

"I don't care who he is does it look like Gem is hurting? No she isn't." A smirk was on Dominic's face as he shook his head at his mate.

"There's an outfit for you inside the bathroom first door to your right it's already open." I say after my fit of laughter had slowed down, my friend giving me a wolfish grin as she steps off of Mika and bounds into the open pack house.

"How bad is the defense?" I hear Ariven ask knowing his focus was on Dominic.

"Not as bad as I thought. Still room for improvement but Amberle did have fun messing with the wolves. Since she has been busy with the pups she hasn't been able to do stuff like this anymore." His face softens at the mention of his three pups. I couldn't wait for that day where I would be able to talk about my own.

"Well taking care of two eight year old girls and a soon to be two year old boy takes a lot of time." A feminine voice fills my ears as I watch my friend bound over to Dom, wrapping her arms around him before turning her head to glare at Mika.

"Get this fact straight little wolf. I'm here because Gem asked me to come not because it's for your sake." She never ceases to amaze me at her skill of getting straight to the point.

"Understood." Mika gritted his teeth and I couldn't help but let the sigh escape me as I could already feel the head ache form.

"Amber can you please be nice. Mika doesn't mean anything to me anymore other then as an ally at this moment." I say, trying to get her attention away from Mika before a fight could break out.

"Besides we have a more pressing matter at hand. The soulless seem to have a leader."

My head was pounding as I let a sigh escape my body. Go figure me and Dom would have to play referee with Amberle. I knew her past and how her ex mate had treated her. It's what me and her bonded over when we first met.

Every moon goddess apparently had a contærae, a wolf who's spirit called to yours as a sibling. When me and Amberle met it had been an instant connection.

Now I just wished she would use our sisterly bond as a way to keep this trip civil.

After I had told her about the soulless leader we had all flocked to the conference room to make a plan. We needed to defeat him soon or else this pack would fall to ruin.

[Where are you Gem?] Ariven's voice fills my head as I walk into the forest, inhaling it's calming aroma as I walk towards the pink lake.

[Taking a break. I'm heading to the lake I told you about. Needed some time away from the tension.] I reply back. I also needed to do something I didn't get a chance to do before. Something I should have done when I first got here after all these years.

[Okay, let me know when you're on your way back.] I smile at his response. Ariven always knew when I needed to be alone.

Finally the sparkling surface of the lake flirts against my eyes and I pause. In front of me between the water and where I stood was an altar of two wolves all to familiar howling at the moon.

"Hi Alpha, Luna." I start off awkwardly as I kneel in front of the alter.

"I'm sorry." I hiccup a bit as the emotions I felt finally let them self free and I apologized to the Alpha and Luna that always treated me like a daughter. I knew they would forgive me no matter what even if they weren't here physically but one day ill be able to see them and so I talked. I let everything from the time they died to where I am now, something I wasn't able to do till now

The sun had set above the lake, its rays dancing like flames and I couldn't help but let a soft smile fill my face as I stood, my eyes lingering on their wolves etched in stone.

"I hope where ever you are you're together. And one day I hope I can set your spirits back here to relive your love." I whisper. Turning around to head back when something fast came at me and I felt a sharp pick to my neck.

I knew something had been injected into me right away, the groggy feeling coming over me as I started to wobble.

[Riv, Help me.] I manage to link to my mate before collapsing onto the ground, a pair of boots I knew all to well stepping towards me before I black out.
