it had been a week since amelia expressed her concerns about her valentines to her friends and still she had nothing from theo. she tried her best to give hints and still she had nothing so she began to make a plan in her head of how she'd question theo on his lack of communication with her and the date coming up.
after a long day of classes the group of slytherins (amelia, draco, theo, pansy, daphne, mattheo, enzo, blaise ) were sat together enjoying the company of each other in the slytherin common room. pansy, daphne and amelia were sat in a corner huddled together as amelia told them her plan to confront theo in a hushed tone so the boys wouldn't hear them. the boys were also sat in a group talking rather loudly about the muggle football season and what team they thought would win the league.
"your ridiculous for thinking arsenal will win it theo, mils tell ur man that city are gonna win it on the final day," enzo shouted to his cousin.
the girls looked over to were the boys were sat and then went to join them and as she sat down amelia looked at theo and said "city are 100% gonna win the league no doubt about it,"
theo shook his head "no i think they'll drop form again,"
"your chatting shit" shouted enzo
mattheo cut into the conversation "u think liverpool have a chance,"
"ur mad if u think that mate," enzo laughed "klopps golden eras gonna go to shit."
the boys all laughed and daphne and pansy gave each other a look of confusion to which amelia gave them a smile. the group continued to chatter about school and other things of interest to them. and one by one the group dispersed each getting up and taking themselves to bed.
theo and amelia were the last sat watching the open fire. theo sat stroking amelia's hair and amelia traced her fingers along theo's arms. they sat in a comfortable silence as they enjoyed the comfort they brought each other.
the looming question circled amelia's mind, should she say it now or wait for another time, no, she'd do it now she may not get another opportunity. "hey theo," she started. he hummed, "do you know what day it is next week," he gave her a confused look and shook his head, "well it's the 14th" he still looked blank "of february," the realisation hit him.
"wait that's next week, no. i had a plan and everything, you can ask blaise he was helping me but i thought it wasn't for another few weeks i thought i had weeks and instead uve come and asked me i feel so stupid im sorry mils."
"theo it's fine,"
"no it's not fine i had a big firework display where i was gonna ask u to be my valentine after a cute dinner and now i've fucked it up cause i don't no shit abt time mils I'm sorry."
"hey theo don't worry i didn't need anything big like that i promise."
"oh mils," he says pulling her into another hug "im so sorry. i'll make it up to u i promise but for now i have a question. will u be my valentine?"thei said
"of course i will theo." amelia replied and they both remained smiling watching the open fire.
