In the 1800s Countryhumans universe, the American nation is driven by a radical ideology spread by a charismatic figure, Eliza Thorn. Though initially labeled as a witch, her teachings of unity and peace-albeit twisted into a fervent nationalism-spread rapidly across the nation. The American government, fearing the loss of control, executes Eliza in a public spectacle. However, her ideas have already permeated the minds of the populace.

Fueled by Eliza's radical ideology, America launches a surprise attack on Russia, believing that conquering the formidable nation will bring about a new era of glory and unity. The attack, while initially successful, encounters fierce resistance. Russia, portrayed as a powerful and resilient figure, repels the American forces with unmatched strength and determination.

In the midst of the conflict, a pivotal battle occurs where the Russian nation decisively defeats her American counterpart. The American leader, defeated and disillusioned, is taken captive by Russia. As the war winds down, Russia, embodying a more compassionate and understanding perspective, begins to reflect on the nature of the conflict and the misguided ideology that led to it.

Russia takes the defeated American leader under her care, offering not only refuge but also an opportunity for redemption. Through deep conversations and shared experiences, the American leader comes to understand the flawed nature of the ideology that spurred the attack. Russia helps her see the value of genuine unity and peace, beyond mere conquest and dominance.

As the two nations work through their differences, a new, more harmonious relationship begins to form. The once antagonistic nations find common ground, recognizing that true unity can only be achieved through mutual respect and understanding, rather than through conflict and aggression.

The world is electrified. Everything runs on electricity, from lighting to transport, life support to social media. Oblivion. Then, grid is down. And the world turns dark. And doesn't turn back on. America, the most forward thinking and innovative Western idealist, has answers. Her feminist values push her neck to neck with her male peers. She is one of the first to figure out that the grid will eventually fail, because of the vein of fossil fuel instability, trying to raise the alarm. When the grid does fail, she doesn't even get the satisfaction to say 'I told you so' before she is forced to collaborate in the TROIKA - a trio of biologist, engineer, and geophysicist that must find an immediate and then long-term solution to power the earth. Oh, and she has no choice. USSR, a cynic planner and injured war veteran, has questions. Torn between his eastern roots and western intelligence, he struggles to fit in, curb his aggression, and deal with personal loss. Instead of notifying the world of the impending grid failure, he builds a vast arsenal nuclear plants to power his land against the rules, and when the grid falls, his lights and machines keep running. When finally his arrest occurs, he finds himself in a unique situation, offered a position in the TROIKA - but if he declines, then a life of darkness behind bars awaits him. The goal of the TROIKA is simple: Be quick, be correct, be ready. It doesn't take long for USSR and America to loathe each other on principle, each with their own goals and ideals, clashing on everything from fashion to economics. Can they push away their pride and save the world, maybe even themselves? Or will their bitterness engulf everyone in thick, oily darkness forever? A single choice will ultimately decide their fate. TROIKA: The Future is Nuclear. The Future is Unclear. NOT for sensitive readers, please do not read if you cannot handle violence, loss, terminate disease or mature content - 16+ Thanks!

They were all enjoying a simple picnic, and for a moment, everything felt... normal. Almost like nothing bad could ever happen. Then, out of nowhere, the sky flickered just a quick, blinding flash that only lasted a couple of seconds. Alyosha froze, eyes scanning the sky, wondering what the heck had just happened. His family looked around, equally confused. It came and went, leaving no trace, but something about it felt wrong. An hour later, the phone rang. The voice on the other end was frantic. Alyosha's stomach dropped as he rushed to the conference room. Being the president, he's used to receiving urgent news, but this was different. His generals didn't waste any time. Their words hit him like a punch to the gut: "Mr. President, Russia... has been transported to another world." At first, it didn't make sense. Russia's land was still the same familiar as ever. The sky, the air, the terrain it all looked like it always had but something was clearly off. The world beyond their borders was completely otherworldly. The landscape felt wrong, like it belonged to another era a realm born of legend and myth. Was this some kind of enchanted realm? The generals didn't have answers. What they did know was that Russia was no longer where it had been. Russia had been transported to a strange, fantastical world, one that defied all explanation. While the sky above them looked the same, everything around them felt like it came out of an epic medieval tale. The air thrummed with a strange energy and the lands beyond their borders held a mysterious, almost arcane quality. Magic? Creatures from legend? Nobody knew for sure.
