"What are you doing?" Maya whispered, her voice shaking as Arjun turned the lock and slipped the key into his pocket.
He stepped toward her slowly. With every step he took, she took one back.
"Arjun, please... open the door," she begged.
He didn't answer. He just kept coming closer.
Finally, her back touched the wall. There was nowhere left to go.
Arjun stopped right in front of her. He placed both hands on the wall, caging her in.
"Today, Maya," he said in a low voice, "you will finally be mine. Only mine."
"Arjun, let me go!" She pushed hard against his chest, but he didn't move. The harder she pushed, the closer he pressed himself to her.
His face was so near now. She could feel his hot breath on her skin.
She turned her face away, refusing to look at him.
He grabbed her chin roughly and forced her to meet his eyes.
"Look at me," he ordered. His dark eyes burned into hers. "No more running. No more saying no. Tonight, you belong to me."
Before she could scream or fight back, he crushed his lips against hers.
She struggled and hands pushing, but his grip only tightened.
He kissed her harder, possessive and hungry, like he had waited years for this moment.
And in his mind, he had.
Because Maya was never just someone he loved.
She was his obsession.
