May Flores and April Smith had been best friends for five years now. They even had their own best friend code that they called The Gurl Code- or the TGC. The most important rule on the TGC was to never date each other's crush or ex. May used to live in California before moving here to Spencerport. In California she had a crush on a boy named Brandon. Over the years she fell in love with him but they never dated. When she was 12 she had to move away from him, and has been hoping to see him again ever since. April has always lived in Spencerport, and when May moved there, they became best friends and even made their own code. May had told her all about Brandon and April has always wished that May could see him again, so that she could be happy. But then April meets Brandon at a swim camp and starts to develop a crush on him and they become friends. She invites Brandon over to her house and hangs out with him for a while. When they go outside May sees them and runs over to play with them- and then realizes that that's Brandon. 𝐻𝑒𝑟 𝑏𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑜𝑛. Brandon starts going to their school in the Fall and April's crush gets bigger, while Mays crush that was ruined by her moving comes back full force. And then they begin to fight because: One of them is breaking girl code.
