Sukumarray Stories

This is a translation I wrote last year for our friends' child's baptism. The original poem was written by the beloved and brilliant Sukumar Ray, one of the greatest and treasured authors in Bengali children's literature. I love his stories and poems because they capture the world through a child's eyes - curious, innocent, playful, and kind. I am a Bengali and I love my language and I stand proud of it. I love that globalization has opened our doors and our minds aiding us to meet, understand, and embrace people from different countries, cultures, colors, and stories. Hopefully, you enjoy it too.
