Protectorates Stories

When the Veil, a God-made barrier to protect Earth from the threat of the supernatural, was broken after the deaths of thousands during the Second World War, Heaven responded with the creation of a regiment of Protectorates: the Enochian Guards. The Protectorates, drawn from one thousand humans across the world, were trained and genetically-modified to bear angelic essence within them, allowing them to do feats no mortal beings could. No longer human, these hybrids were capable of interfacing with Heaven's technology. One of them was the Praetorian Battle Gear, a nigh-invincible suit of armor which both protects the user and acts as an extension of their bodies. Enter Blackshot, a Protectorate temporarily assigned in Athens. As part of an alliance between humanity and Heaven when the supernatural threats intensified, he was there to keep darkness at bay. However, a near-death sent him to the footsteps of a cathedral. The Son appeared and gave him a Holy Wound: a stigmata of His pierced heart as an invitation to suffer in union with Him. He accepted, carrying the Wound with faith that he won't be abandoned by the Son while a new powerful evil rise in the horizon. Uncovering a cult in Athens as well as a three-way alliance which threatened both the normalcy and stability of the city, Blackshot must navigate his way across the Greek city to root out evil along with the Agency, his human allies, assisting him in every twist and turn while preventing the resurrection of an ancient evil.
