"You're doing a good job, Cale," Eric said soothingly, even though he was the one doing all the work. He squeezed Cale's shoulder lightly as though he was coaxing a small child. "I know it must be hard, but bear with it a little longer. Just stay by my side." Cale nodded obediently. Yes, he was planning on being still. Very still.
