I woke up on my mommy's lap
She looked like a living skeleton
So did I so I can't talk
"Mommy" I said
Silence
"Mommy stop it" I then said
Still silence
I put my ear to her chest
No breathing and no heartbeat
"Mommy stop it wake up" I cried
I cried into her lap and fell to the ground
I gave her my bed Because she didn't feel well
But she said she was going to get better
I was cold hungry and thirsty
I was only wearing a shirt and some shorts
I looked under my bed
There was something white and long
Mommy's dress
I put it over myself
I was now wearing it
I looked at the skeleton I saw in front of me
"Your just playing around you'll wake soon" I said
I sat in the corner of the room
I waited
I waited so long
Day by day went
The place was starting to smell and mommy was rotting
I waited five days until I basically looked like her
A living skeleton
Again I sat in the same corner hugging my knees
I heard the door barge open
It scared me.
"Kuchel is that you wow you've sure lost a lot of weight hey are you ok" I heard
"She's dead" I said
The man turned around
I got a proper look at him
He had blonde short hair and auburn eyes he had a sort of small beard on his chin
This is just what mikasa dad looks like I searched it up
He came up to me and kneeled down
"And you are you dead" he asked
I shrugged it off
"What's your name" he said
"L- Levi it's just levi"
My throat hurt talking
"So your the kid she had well nice to meet you I'm your uncle" he said
I know that Kenny is his uncle too but you never know this guy may be kenny and kuchel other brother
I was shocked
"What's an uncle" I asked
"Well I'm your mums brother that makes me your uncle" he said.
"I never knew my mummy had any other family apart from me" I said
I started to sob thinking about her
"Hey shhh don't cry your going to be fine" he said
I was still sobbing
"Hey Levi do you want to leave" he said
"Leave home but I have nowhere else to go" I said
"I mean do you want to leave the underground" he then suggested
"Mummy said I'd need loads of money to leave and I have none" I said
"What if I took you you could live with me and my family I have a daughter and a wife and they'd love you" he said
He wants me to live with him
I don't want to leave mummy though
But I want to live
I nodded
"Great" he said
He picked me up
And started walking
I waved my home goodbye and kissed my mummy on the cheek and left
I fell asleep with him carrying me
I had bad dreams all the time but now it's just nothing I'm in nothing
Just darkness
I instantly woke up
We were in a line to get out of the underground
"And who's this with you" the military police man said
I looked to the man said to be my uncle
And then I looked at the military police person
I shrieked realising who he is.
He was one of mummy's sleepover friends
"Is that you runt it's been awhile i heard your mother fell sick so I couldn't come and visit her anymore what are you doing with this man" he said
I held on to my uncle tightly
I was scared
The man held money out to the military police
"Let him come to the surface with me this is enough money I think" he said.
He took the money.
We looked at him
"You just going to stand there all day or are you going to move your ass" the military police man said
My uncle started walking
He walked for a while until I saw this bright light that stung my eyes.
I dug my head in his shoulder
"Not used to sunlight are you boy" he said
I shook my head
He was walking until we got on this strange this it moved fast and loads of people were in it
It was moving really fast
Until it finally stopped
My uncle picked me back up and started walking
He walked out of the thing
And started walking to this little hut
He put me down and knocked at the door of the hut
We waited a few seconds before A women answered
She had black raven hair a lot like mine and grey steely eyes
She didn't look like a lot of the people I've seen
She had pale skin and also looked Asian
She was pretty
Again this is mikasa mother
"Darling your home" she said to my uncle
She looked down at me
"Who's this" she said
She kneeled down by me
I hid behind my uncle I thought she might yell at me or something
"This is Levi kuchels son" he said
I looked at her
She smiled at me
It was a warm smile
One that could melt you
"Would you like to come in" she said
I nodded
"Dad" I heard
I looked around and saw a girl around my age
She looked a lot like the women steely grey eyes raven hair
And a different look
She ran to the man
And hugged him
Was he her dad
And was she her mum
The girl looked at me
"Who's this" she said happily
"Do you want to introduce yourself" the man said
"I'm Levi" I said quietly
My voice cracked a bit
She smiled
"I'm mikasa" she said
I gave her a small smile and nodded
I heard a small beeping noise
I stepped back scared
"Oh don't worry that's just dinner would you like some" the women said
I nodded
"Levi will be staying with us for now on" the man said
The others were confused
But then smiled and nodded
"Mikasa how about you go and play with Levi" the women said
She nodded and took my hand and ran
Third person POV
While mikasa and Levi were playing a game
There was mr and mrs Ackerman in the kitchen preparing dinner
"And why didn't you tell me about this" mrs Ackerman said.
Mr Ackerman was trying to figur out what to say
"It's my sister" he said
She looked at mr Ackerman shocked
"Five years ago she got knocked up from a client I went to see her today and she's dead I found Levi there on the verge of death" he said
Mrs Ackerman was shocked by this comment
"You've never talked about your family before" she said
"They have been hiding from everyone but I couldn't just leave him to die" he said
She smiled warmly
"Of course not we will treat him as if he was our own" she said
Levi POV
We all sat at the table
I've never done this before
At home We don't even own a table
I drank my water very fast since how thirsty I was
Then I looked at my food
There was bread and meat on my plate but only meat on there's
I handed my bread to them putting it by there faves
They shook there heads
"Levi that breads for you to eat" mrs Ackerman said
"But I gave my bread to my mummy why can't I give my bread to you lot" I said
They looked shocked.
"Yes but it's for you we give it to you" mr Ackerman said
I nodded
I ate the fluffy bread
It tasted nice not like the bread that I had in the underground
"You don't talk much do you" mikasa said
I shook my head
"That's ok maybe we can be friends" she said
I nodded
"Well your actually cousins accept you can now act as siblings" mrs Ackerman said
Mikasa smiled so bright
"We'll need to get you some new clothes and a hair cut though and possibly a trip to doctor jeagers" mr Ackerman said.
I nodded
After we ate.
Mrs Ackerman took me upstairs to have a bathe
She asked me to take my clothes off and get in
I done as she said
She looked horrified when she saw me

Mrs Ackerman POV
He was a walking skeleton
As soon as he took off what he was wearing
There was barely any fat
Only skin and bone
He looked unhealthy.
You could see his rib cage
And his legs were the size of twigs
Levi POV
I didn't like the was ur she was looking at me but she was very kind to me
She poured water over my hair that made me flinche
"Hey don't worry I'm just washing your hair do you mind if I cut it" she asked
I nodded meaning 'sure'
She got scissors out and started cutting my hair
Only my mummy done this but when she done it it was almost as if it was mummy
I looked in the mirror afterwards
Wow it was an undercut I liked it
Mummy used to do that on me
The women got me a towel and wrapped it round me
"Thank you" I said
She smiled and said
"No problem"
She gave me some clothes that belonged to someone else or something like that.
And I dressed in them
I tugged on mr ackermans sleeve
He looked at me
I gave him mummy's dress that I took off
She told me someone close to her gave it to her
He clutched the dress and started crying
"I gave this to her thank you thank you" he said
He held onto me
And hugged me
I nodded
I sat down On a fluffy chair (sofa/couch)
Mikasa came over to me
She sat next to me
We talked for hours until we both Fell asleep
And that's how I ended up with the ackermans
When I was just five years old
