Kabir's POV
With these thoughts I accidentally bumped into someone.
"Watch where you're going... " I said irritated
"I'm extremely sorry I was just so lost and... " She said when we both realized something.
"Kabir? "
"Inaayat? "
"Weren't you supposed to be in Islamabad? " She asked me
"No the deal was....relocated to Istanbul..I tried calling you...but....your number wasn't reachable" I lied.
That's not even true but I can't tell her that I am an Agent. That would just put her in trouble
"So you up for lunch? " I asked not to make it more awkward.
She nodded in agreement
"Let's go" I said as we walked arm in arm into the restaurant
"Kabir sir, you have a meeting.. " Lisa my personal assistant said walking upto me.
"Lisa cancel all my meetings for the day, And if Dad asks tell him I'm spending time with my wife" I said kissing her palm gently
I pulled the chair for her and as she sat down my gaze fell at her shoulder as I kept looking at it for some time
"That's Lisa Ray, My personal assistant and Lisa this is your soon to be Boss, Inaayat Reza Zadeh" I introduced as they both smiled at each other
"Now if you could leave us and give us a bit privacy... " I said indicating her that it's better she leaves us alone
"Oh yes absolutely sir, Have a great time sir, Have a great day ahead maam" She said smiling and leaving
The badge was bothering me I couldn't look at any thing other than that.
"The hell? What are you doing with that badge? " I remarked
"Which one? " She asked
"This" I said pointing out to her badge pinned to her dress.
"You know what this is? " She asked surprised
"Of course it's a secret indication that you're a RAW agent" I said
"And how do you know that? " She asked me
"Because I am a RAW agent myself"I replied
"Are you kidding me Kabir? " She asked
"No way Inaayat, why would I? " I asked
She sighed
"How stupid of us to even hide this from each other!! " I said sighing.
She giggled
"So where exactly were you? " She asked
"I went looking for this Sultan whatever that was! " I said taking a bite of the steak
"You mean the blue Mosque! But why? " She asked
"I was supposed to meet my team there... Tomorrow morning" I said as she burst out laughing
"What? " I asked perplexed
She showed me her phone and I realized who my team members were.
"I feel like the dumbest guy on this earth today" I said while she continued to laugh.
I've never seen her in such a cheerful and bubbly mood. And seeing her smile is only making me feel happy.
"Why didn't you join us in the flight Kabir? " She asked
"Umm woh actually... I even booked a ticket... But I don't know what happened, my ticket got booked to Islamabad instead of Istanbul" I said
She burst out laughing again
"Your luck is super weird you know Mr Kabir Zadeh" She said
"Oh really! I feel it's the best one because it led me to you" I said as she kept blushing.
"Inaayat Don't you feel that all of this is a plan of destiny to bring us closer to each other? " I asked
"Maybe.. " She said shrugging
"See if there's really destiny I want my wedding to be a success" She added
"And?? " I asked gladly because I wanted the same
"The dulha shouldn't be you " She said and burst out laughing again
"That's not even funny Inaayat" I said a bit hurt with the remark
"You should have looked at your face, it was actually very funny" She said as we ended our lunch.
I payed the bill and as we reached the door I lift her in my arms bridal style.
"Kabir.. What the hell.. Everyone is starting at us.. Stop it Kabir" She protested
"Dekhne do na" I said
"Please Kabir.. " She pleaded as we walked into the lift.
I carefully placed her down
There was a different tension in the air.
"Why did you do that? " She asked
"What? You're going to be my wife! " I replied
"Nahi, I mean sabke saamne when we are on a mission woh bhi? " She asked
"Haan toh mission pe romance manaa hai? " I asked
She sighed
"Personal aur professional life ko alag rakhna chahiye " She said
"And agar main mix kardoon toh? " I asked moving in close to her
"Toh main aise jhuk ke chali jaungi" She said ducking under my hand and walking out of the lift as the doors closed.
And until they opened again she was missing.
Damn this girl. Too smart.
"Looking for someone? " I heard a voice
"Karan right? " I asked him
"Yeah Mr IshaqZadeh, What are you doing here? " He asked suspiciously
"Well I'm the sixth guy you were waiting for, but the leader of the group keeps running away from me" I said
"583" He said
"Excuse me? " I asked
"Her room number, is 583" He said
I nodded.
"Thank you Karan" I said as I sprinted towards the room and knocked it.
"Kaun hai? " She asked
"Maam room service, aapke liye package hai Miss Inaayat Reza" I said
"Package acha ek minute" She said as I heard the footsteps
Well, My plan worked
As she opened the door I walked in and bolted it.
"Kabir? "
"Yes sweetheart? " I said
"Can I ask you something? " She said
"Anything, tumhare liye toh jaan bhi dedoon" I said as I walked in closer to her
"Kabir did you ask anyone to mix anything in my food? " She asked
"Well to do the things I want to, I wouldn't need to, My words are good enough" I said when she didn't properly look at me
"I'm not joking" She said almost about to lose balance as I held her.
Her body radiated a very comfortable warmth.
"Kabir I feel dizzy.. " She said holding me.
"Inaayat? " I said lifting her and placing her on the bed.
"Kabir.. I.. Don't feel.. Good" She said
Panic began coursing through my veins. I didn't want to lose someone I love again
I wasn't ready to lose Inaayat.
"Kabir" She called out
"Inaayat" I said cupping her face "I won't let anything happen to you I promise" I said
She closed her eyes and kissing her forehead I ran outside.
I had to save her
No matter what happens.
Only then did I realize what I felt for her.
This wasn't attraction.
I was madly in love with Inaayat Reza and I could do anything to save her from any problem she is in
