Chapter 24
Not the Best Goodbye

When JungKook was leaving for America, it was pretty awkward for a little. After the whole kiss and confession we had both avoided each. Well more like he avoided me, I tried talking to him about it.
He just ran away. I guess in his head it was better to just let me think. But I wanted to talk to JungKook, it wasn't fair to me. Now we were all at the airport.
Apparently his father had some business to tend to at the moment so Kook would be going alone for the first two days. I don't know why but this feeling of worry was bubbling up in stomach. He did speak a little English.
I was just hoping nothing bad would happen. The king and my father would leave on the second day. And arrive the third day.
The worst part about this was that he'd be gone for over a year. A full year with out JungKook.
I was gonna miss him so bad and I could already tell that I was gonna cry the first couple of weeks.
He's really one of my only friends along with Hoseok since were always at the palace hanging out together.
His flight was called and I felt the rising fear in my stomach. What if he leaves and we don't talk till he comes back, what if wants nothing to do with me.
I walked up to him as soon as everybody was done say bye. At first he pretended not to notice me. But I started him in the eye until we made eye contact.
I gave him a smile. He gave me a nervous one. "H-hey." "Hi JungKook"
He nervously rubbed the back of his neck. "So, your leaving huh. This is it." I let out a small sigh escape my lips.
"Let's hope everything normal between us when this is all over." I awkwardly said. "...." He didn'tsay much instead he let out a sigh before chuckling.
"Yeah, totally." I couldn't tell if he was being sarcastic but I let it go and tried to break the tension. "You should call me if you need anything. I'm fluent in English now ya know." I offered.
"Yeah. I'll definitely do it!" He smiled so hard his eyes shut. He turned around to walk away. But I was faster. "Promise you'll be safe." I mumbled into his shirt.
Tears slowly formed threatening to fall. I felt my arms slowly being lifted off his body. I was then enveloped in his sent.
His arms were wrapped around me. "I promise...."
