We remained silent after that. Now the air isn’t that awkward anymore.
His eyes were on me while I was observing him. Ngayon lang ako nakatitig sa kanya ng malapitan ng walang ginagawa.
Kinagat ko ang labi nang mapansin ulit ang suot niya. A blue pajama with robin’s face all over.
“You look cute with the pajama.” Hindi ko napigilang sabi habang bumumungisngis.
He smiled. After we talk, he was taking everything lightly.
“Because I know you can’t stand everything that’s cute.”
“Wait. What?”
Tumawa ito sa reaksiyon ko.
“I know you can’t resist cute things. So I wear this in case you wouldn’t talk to me.”
“So akala mo kakausapain kita kasi nagsuot ka niyan?” Hindi ko makapaniwalang sabi. Tumawa ito nang makuha ko.
I lightly pull his hair to prove how stupid his plan was. Tumawa lang naman ito.
“Aiya, my hair.” Saway niya sa akin.
“Aiya, hon. Please? My hair.” is he irritated cause I'm pulling his hair?
Tumigil na ako at tiningnan siya.
“Hon.”
Tumango siya.
“So it will be our endearment?”
Tumango ulit ito.
“You done eating?” I asked him. Di niya ito sinagot. Now, what’s up with him?
Napa-irap nalang ng maalala.
“Hon, Astrid? Do you wanna eat?”
Now I got his attention. Umiling ito.
“Can I eat you? I’m starving.” He whispered sensually.
I smiled ridiculously on him. “No. Let’s eat real food, hon.”
“But you’re a food to me.” Bulong pa nito.
“Real food, hon. Now get up and let’s go.” Sabi ko at nauna ng bumangon. Sumunod naman ito.
Our hands were intertwined until we reach the dining area. Steven was there eating.
Napansin niya agad ang kamay namin. “I see you have already solve your problem.”
Tumalim ang mata ni Astrid sa kanya.
“What were you doing on my room, last night you fuck.” That wasn’t a question. It was a statement.
Tinaas nito ang kamay ko. “I brought a glass of milk for Senyora. Chill. I didn’t do anything.” Bumaling naman ito saakin, parang naghihingi ng tulong.
“Hon. Steven just brought a glass of milk last night. And then we just had a little talk then he w-“ Astrid cut me off.
“You what, Steven? You talk to her?” Galit na asik ni Steven. Nakagat ko ang labi ko. Ano pa kaya kong malaman niya na niyakap ako ni Steven? I should keep my mouth shut. I am still not very good on lying. Is this a sign of being a psycho again his so possessive
Ako na ang sumagot. “Yes, hon. We were talking about you. I was worried so I asked Steven your whereabouts.”
Ngumisi si Steven sa kanya. “See? I didn’t even hold your girl. Just talk, man.”
Magaling ding magsinunggaling ang isang to. Inirapan ko siya.
“I’m done eating. I will leave now Astrid.”
“Senyora.” He said with playfulness.
I was him walk away until he’s out of my sight.
“Is it true, that you talk?” Astrid said in a low, controlled voice.
Hinawakan ko ang nakakuyom niyang kamay. “Yes, Astrid. That’s because I was worried about you. Hindi ka kasi umuwi.” May tampo kong sabi.
He sighed. “I was just upset. Sorry.”
“Saakin ba?”
“No. I was just upset on myself.”
“Hey, hon.” Tawag ko sa kanya.
“Promise we will do our best not to fight, okay?” Tumango siya sa sinabi ko.
Inabot niya ang kamay ko at hinalikan ito.
“And promise you won’t leave me.”
I felt my heart stung on what he said. I’m sorry but I will leave you soon. I’m sorry Astrid, but I have to do this.
