Your POV
You woke up from your slumber and realized that today was the day that you started your first day at Beacon. You looked over to your side and looked over your now completed weapon. A sword with two separate blades that split at the beginning and the merged into one point at the tip of the sword. The hole in the middle served a unique purpose, it was so you could charge either blade with dust. There was a button on the bottom of the hilt that, when pressed would open a compartment on the front of the hilt and that is where you would place the dust crystal. Once the dust crystal is inside and the port is closed, both of the swords blades would illuminate to the color of the crystal and become charged with what ever element you put in the port. There was also another button on the side of the hilt that would retract the blades so the sword would fit nicely on your side without constantly brushing metal against everything every-time you sat down. You grabbed your black hood cape and pushed the button to retract the blades and put the sword on your waist by attaching it there with a chain that was connected to the hilt of the sword. You changed into a black shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes and then put your cape on before slowly walking to the station where a bullhead would take you to the start of a new school life at Beacon. You would have flown but you don't want other people to know because they all ways get freaked out that you can somehow fly
Timeskip to Boarding
After waiting for about 30 minutes, the bullhead finally arrived to take you and every other first year student to Beacon. There were more people their than you originally thought there would be. It didn't bother you much so you just got on and leaned against the wall waiting for the bullhead to take off. After about five minutes the bullhead took off and you became lost in your thoughts.
You: I wonder what will happen next, maybe I'll find out who that person was who shot my parents all those years ago. Now that I think about it, they have been shot by bullets in the past and it never once affected them, so what was different about the bullets the killer used against my parents? I guess the only way to find out would be to ask the guy himself but I have no idea were he could be....Damnit
You were suddenly brought of your thought by a very familiar voice coming from right next to you, when you looked over to see who it was, you saw it was none other than Yang Xiao Long who was hugging her sister Ruby
You: Wait, Ruby's coming to Beacon to? How she should have to more years at Signal before applying to Beacon. Oh well it's none of my business, maybe she got moved ahead or something like that.
You just stood there and closed your eyes for awhile before you heard a pair of footsteps coming closer to you, when you opened your eyes, you saw Yang and Ruby standing right next to you
You: H..Hey, umm can I help you two?
Yang: (Y/n), is that really you?
You: *sigh* Yes Yang, it's the same person you met two years ago...good to see you again
Yang: Yeah it is, come here you
Yang quickly wrapped you into a hug which caught you off guard. So after Ruby also joined the hug, probably because she didn't want to be left out. After a few seconds they both released you from their grasp and smiled brightly at you and for some reason your heart felt like it was beating faster.
You: The hell...why is my heart racing right now? Geez what ever is happening to me I hope it doesn't happen often, I hope it's just every once in awhile and not all the freaking time.
Yang: So how have you been (Y/n)? You did sorta disappear after we had dinner with you two years ago
Ruby: I actually saw him last night Yang
Yang: WHAT! Why didn't you tell me about this?!
Ruby: Umm because I figured you would probably run into him here anyway
You: *sigh* *whispering* Why do you two even care if you see me? No one else ever does...
Apparently they both heard you because they were both staring at you and had a look of shock in their eyes, you could tell they felt bad for you since they are the only other people who know what happened to you in the past
Yang: Wait...so you're saying no one has ever bothered to care for you?
You: Umm...Yeah, I don't have any other family members so I've pretty much lived on my own for the past four years since....well you know
Ruby: Aww, that's too bad, but hey you have me and Yang now, we'll look after you right sis?
Yang: You bet Rubes, and hey (Y/n) don't worry...I'm sure you'll meet lots of new people here and make a ton of new friends as well...so don't worry, you'll always have people to look out and care for you, even if you think you don't, you do...always remember that
You: I'll try to but I highly doubt what you say is true....I should know from past experiences
Intercom: Attention all students, if you look out the window you will see that we are right above Beacon and will be arriving shortly
After hearing this you went over to the door and opened it, a gust of wind blew through the air ship and everyone seemed to be panicking, you ignored this and grabbed the top of the roof and did a quick flip using one hand and you were now on the roof of the ship and you sat down to enjoy the rest of the ride
POV change Ruby
After (Y/n) some how flew out the ship, Yang quickly closed the door so everyone would stop freaking out
Yang: Ok...how the hell did (Y/n) just fly?
Ruby: I don't know Yang...maybe that's his semblance
Yang: Yeah you're probably right Rubes, well the pilot said we should be landing soon so lets just relax until we do alright...I'm sure we'll see (Y/n) again soon
Ruby: I hope so, I just wish he wouldn't be so depressed and sad all the time, I wanna see him smile for once, I don't think he has smiled in four years since his parents were killed in front of him
Yang and I just stood there in silence the rest of the way there. I could tell she was thinking about something but I wasn't sure of what she could possibly be thinking about. Meanwhile I was trying to figure out a way to try and make (Y/n) be happy, or at the very least smile. After about five minutes the ship landed and everyone got off, I looked around with Yang to see if we could spot (Y/n) but we could not find him anywhere. As the bullhead started to leave, I noticed that when it was about as high in the air as the Beacon tower was, someone had jump off
Ruby: Umm Yang...
Yang: Yeah Ruby
Ruby: Someone just jumped off the bullhead we arrived on!
Yang: WHAT! ARE THEY CRAZY?!?
POV change You
After you jumped off the airship and started sailing quickly towards the ground, you noticed there was a group of about 20 people in a bundle looking up at you as you made your decent.
You: Well I guess it's not everyday for them that someone willingly jumps off an airship about 1000 feet in the air
As you got closer to the ground you did a flip and landed with one knee on the ground and you fist punching the ground which created a small crater on the ground you landed on. You slowly stood up and everyone around you seemed amazed at how you aren't dead from a fall like that
Ruby: (Y/n)?
You looked over at Ruby and right next to her was Yang and they seemed just as shocked as everyone else
You: Yes?
Yang: How...how the heck are you not dead from a fall like that?!
You: Umm...it's kinda difficult to explain, maybe I'll tell you later
Yang: Wait...
You didn't let Yang finish instead you just walked away from the crowd and went to find a tree to sit underneath for awhile. After five minutes of searching you found one and walked over to it, you noticed that someone else was siting under the tree so you decided to sit with the them. She was wearing a black bow and white shorts and black pants over the shorts as well as a white shirt with a black vest. Her eyes were amber and she seemed to be reading a book so you didn't disturb her and quietly sat down next to her so she would not notice you.
POV change Blake
I was reading my book in peace underneath this tree because I did not want to be around other people at the moment, I just wanted to be alone in a quiet place to read my book in peace. After about 10 minutes of reading I closed the book and was about to get up to stretch until I noticed that there was some one next to me. I was so confused and shocked because when I got here there was nobody around so he must have somehow silently sat down next to me.
Blake: How did he...I mean surely I would have heard him coming due to me having exceptional hearing due to my faunus ears
POV change You
It had been about ten minutes since you sat down next to this girl and the whole time she hadn't once looked up from her book so she probably had no idea you were there. Although she then closed her book and looked like she was about to stand up until she looked to her right and saw you
You: Oh, so you finally look up from your book, you must really like reading if you did not even notice that I sat down
???: Yeah I guess you could say that, so who are you exactly?
You: (Y/n)(L/n), and who might you be?
Blake: Blake Belladonna, nice to meet you (Y/n)
You: Yeah...
Suddenly you both heard an explosion in the distance coming from where you had landed after your jump. So you stood up to go check it out, you waved goodbye to Blake and she waved back before standing up and walking in the other direction as you started walking towards where the explosion had came from. When you arrived at the scene you saw Ruby pushing her index fingers together as she was being yelled at by a white haired girl wearing a light blue combat skirt. Behind this girl was a cart that had a bunch of suitcases all with same logo
???: YOU COMPLETE DOLT, THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU'RE NOT CAREFUL WITH DUST, DO YOU EVEN HAVE ANY IDEA WHO I AM!!
Ruby: Look excuse me princess but I already said I'm sorry
You: Ruby please give her some credit, it's heiress actually, she is none other than Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee dust company, Remnants largest dust manufacturing company
Weiss: Finally, some one who knows a little something about respect around here
You walked over to where they were both standing and noticed that her bags were all over the place, it looked like someone had feel backwards on them
You: *sigh* Ruby...did you accidentally fall backwards on her bags?
Ruby: Umm, yes?
You: You apologized right?
Ruby: About 15 times already but she just kept yelling at me
You: Weiss, if she apologized then it can't be all bad right? Don't stay mad at her because of an accident
POV change Weiss
I was trying to hold my self back from hugging this guy who had just showed up and was treating me like a normal person. He wasn't like other people, he did not seem interested in the fact that I was from a rich family at all, he just walked over and started to instantly solve the problem like he had been there the whole time. And ever since he showed up I could not look away from eyes, they were so full of sadness and despair and I wanted to try and help him which was unusual for me
Weiss: Who is this guy? He seems kinda familiar but I don't know why. Who ever he is, he is making my heart feel like it's running a marathon
As I was thinking to myself he walked over to my bags and started to stack them neatly on the cart like how they were before the girl who I now know as Ruby came by and fell on top of them.
Weiss: Oh, you don't have to do that, I can just get someone to do it for me
POV change You
You: I understand that Weiss, but I'm doing this because I was always taught to help others, even if they don't want or need it
After about five minutes of stacking the bags back onto the cart you turned around and saw Ruby mouthing 'Thank you' while Weiss was standing there smiling as if to say thank you for your help. You started to walk to the place you needed to be to get the information about what was going to happen for initiation. This was something all first year students had to go through so they could prove that they had what it took to be here. But right before you left Weiss called out to you from behind.
Weiss: Wait!
You stopped and slowly turned your head so that you only looked at her with one of your eyes
You: Yes, what is it Ms. Schnee?
Weiss: Could you at least tell me your name before you go?
You: The name is (Y/n)(L/n) and it was an honor meeting you Weiss
You noticed she seemed a bit shocked but you shrugged it off and continued towards the reception hall
POV change Ruby
After (Y/n) left I looked over at the white haired girl who I now know as Weiss Schnee. She seemed a bit shocked after hearing (Y/n)'s name and I was wondering why
Ruby: Umm, Weiss, you ok? You seem a bit shocked
Weiss: .....Yeah I was, tell me, Ruby was it? Is that the (Y/n)(L/n)? The famous singer know all throughout Remnant?
Ruby: Yeah that's him, why do you ask?
Weiss: I've listen to his singing for awhile now, and now that I've met him in person, he seems so sad
Ruby: You couldn't look away from his eyes the whole time he was here could you?
Weiss: ....No, they just seemed to be filled with pain, loss, and sadness....
Ruby: Let me guess, you had to fight yourself to stop from giving him a hug until he no longer felt sad right?
Weiss: Yeah...how did you...
Ruby: It was the same for me and Yang when we first met him, speaking of which I should go find her, after all she's probably already in the reception hall waiting for me
I started to run off but I quickly turned around and looked at Weiss who was still standing there and still looked a bit shocked
Ruby: Once again, I'm really really sorry for knocking over your stuff
I then ran off to try and find the place I was supposed to go
Timeskip to before the speech
It took awhile to find the reception hall but thanks to "some" help from a nice guy named Jaune and a teacher, we found it and I noticed that Yang was waving at me
Yang: Hey! Ruby over here! I saved you a spot
Ruby: Oh, there's my sister, I gotta go Jaune, thanks again for the help
Jaune: You're welcome but I wasn't much help
I then ran to meet my sister and she seemed very happy, which was nice. I was still a little mad since she's the reason I fell onto Weiss's bags which caused her to yell at me and then we some how exploded
Yang: Sooo, how's your first day of Beacon going?
Ruby: You mean since you ditched me and I exploded?
Yang: Yikes, you had a meltdown already?
Ruby: No, I fell on some girl's bags and she started yelling at me and the I exploded and then she yelled some more and I felt really really bad and I just wanted her to stop yelling...
Weiss: YOU!
I quickly jumped into my sister's arms due to the fact that Weiss's scream had startled me, I the closed my eyes out of what I think was fear
Ruby: Oh no it's happening again!
Weiss: Ruby, you're lucky we weren't blown off the side of the cliff
Yang: Oh my god you really exploded
Weiss: But I'm not here to yell at you Ruby...
I got down out of Yangs arms and looked at Weiss with a very confused face
Ruby: You're...not, why are you here then?
Weiss: I wanted to say that I accept your apology. And I wanted to apologize for earlier, I shouldn't have yelled at you over an accident. I also wanted to ask you about how you met (Y/n), and is this your sister Yang?
Yang: Sure am, so why are you curious about how we met him? For that matter how do you know him?
Ruby: Well he kinda showed up after I exploded and sorta instantly made everything better as if he was there the whole time
Yang: How did he resolve an explosion
Weiss: I don't really know but he just did, so anyway since you two met him before I did, you probably have know him longer right?
Yang: Yeah, I guess you could say that
Weiss: Why is he so sad all the time
Yang and I looked at each other, not knowing if we should tell (Y/n)'s story to someone else with out his permission. We then looked back at Weiss who look very confused
Weiss: What?
Ruby: Weiss, we're not sure if we can tell (Y/n)'s story with out his permission, so if you wanna find out why he is so sad and seems depressed all the time, you're gonna have to ask him yourself
Weiss: I understand, thank you for your time Ruby, and it was nice meeting you Yang
Yang: Likewise
When Weiss left, Professor Ozipn stepped up to the microphone and gave everyone in the room a doubt about their skills. After he finished speaking Glynda Goodwitch came up to the microphone
Glynda: You will gather in the ball room tonight, that is were you will sleep until you have been given a permeant dorm room, be sure to rest up for your initiation test tomorrow, you're dismissed
POV change You
You couldn't believe what you had just heard, for the first time in four years, you were going to be provided a place to sleep for the night instead of you having to find one
You: Maybe my luck is turning around for the better instead of always getting worse
Timeskip to the Ballroom
You had gotten assigned a spot in the corner of the room which was right next to Blake, she seemed to be once again reading that same book from before. You thought it would a nice thing to do and decided to say hi again
POV change Blake
As I sat there in the dark room, being only barely lit buy my candles so I could read my book, I started to think about they guy I met earlier today
Blake: (Y/n) was it? Something about him seems off, like he's hiding something that he does not want anyone to find out about. I wonder what I could be
You: Well well, if it isn't the girl who can't take her nose out of the book, tell me Blake, what is so interesting about that book?
I looked up and saw (Y/n) standing over me wearing the clothes he had on earlier when I first me him. Although this meeting was different, I could see his eyes, they were a dark sea blue and they seemed filled with nothing but sadness, pain and loss. I almost instantly jumped up and wrapped him into a hug but luckily I caught myself before I did.
Blake: Oh, hey (Y/n), didn't see you there. Anyway this book is about a man with two souls, each one fighting for control over his body
You: I see, well that explains why you can't seem to put it down and I don't blame you, after a book like that must be pretty interesting
Blake: It really is
POV change You
You the laid down on your bed next to Blake and she continued reading her book. After about five minutes or so you were about to fall asleep but Blake spoke to you
Blake: Hey (Y/n), can I ask you something...
You: Yeah, what is it Blake?
Blake: Why do you seem so sad and depressed all the time?
Weiss: I would like to know the answer to that myself
You sat up and noticed that Weiss, Blake, Yang, and Ruby were all encircling you as both Blake and Weiss awaited your response
You: You didn't tell Weiss?
Yang: We figured we shouldn't unless we had your permission so we told her that she should ask you if she wanted to know
You: Thank you for that, *sigh* Ok here's the short version for you two, it was four years ago, me and my parents were enjoying a nice family dinner when suddenly there was a knock on the door. My parents told me that they would go check to see who it was and that after dinner we would all train together. If I had know what was going to happen next, I would have told them to ignore it.
Weiss: What happened?
You were almost on the verge of crying at this point, you already had tears running down your face
You: After they opened the door, I heard two gun shots and when I got up to check what happened...I saw both of my parents lying on the ground, dead due to a bullet to the skull. I looked at the man who had shot them and after that I don't exactly remember what happened, next thing I knew I woke up in a hospital with no injures, just extremely tired.
After you were finished with you story you closed your eyes and silently began to cry. What surprised you is that you suddenly felts arms being wrapped around you. You opened you eyes and saw that Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang were all hugging you at once. You honestly didn't feel like you should get this kind of attention, after all you just met two of them today and Ruby and Yang you've ever only talked to them two or three times. They all let go of you after awhile and it honestly made you feel slightly better
Weiss: I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have asked
Blake: Yeah, I'm sorry (Y/n), I didn't know
You: It's alright, I'm just gonna need some rest and I should be fine, I'll talk to you girls later
RWBY: Goodnight (Y/n)
You laid down on your bed which was just a blanket on the ground and you were provided another blanket to use as a cover. You closed you're eyes and got lost in your thoughts
You: Why do those for care so much? They honestly don't have a reason to care for me, so why do they. This day has been really confusing to me, maybe tomorrow will be less confusing, I hope so anyway
As you finished up your thoughts you slowly felt you self drift to sleep, not knowing what the next day will bring
